The United Kingdom

The Queen will continue with good health, but may cut back on the number of State/Commonwealth visits and we will continue to see Charles conduct more investitures on her behalf.

Prince Philip will have a health scare, but will not die and will continue in his current role with a slight reduction in the number of engagements he carries out.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will have a poor year in the media. Clarence House Staff will cause a row of some description.

Prince William will attend more official occasions and may make another foreign Tour on Her Majesty's behalf: An engagement is not likely

Prince Harry will split from Chelsy and find a respectable girlfriend. He may appear at the cenotaph next year.

The Duke of York will be seen with a new girlfriend but speculations will be made about his relationship with Sarah.

Both Beatrice and Eugenie will make a mess in some way this year and be pasted across the tabloids, both will however redeem themselves and Beatrice will start engagements.

Prince Edward and Sophie will have a baby boy in December 2007 and the christening will take place in Windsor Castle. William will be a godfather and Lady Susan Hussey will be among the godmothers.

The Princess Royal will continue to have speculations made about her marriage but she will pull through another year with lots of engagements under her belt.

Peter will marry Autumn, who will renounce her catholic faith and they will announce a pregnancy later in the year.

Zara and Mike will announce a marriage after the Olympic games.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent will remain separated but not divorce.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will remain in the background though their family will be in the spotlight for sometime.

Princess Alexandra will continue with her engagements and will be present at all major Royal Functions.

The monarchy will come under review in Parliament and there will be calls for a referendum from the usual corners, however support for The Queen in particular will be at an all time high and BBC Radio Four will continue to play God Save The Queen at shutdown.

Sweden

- Crown Princess Victoria and Mr. Daniel Westling will finally annouce their engagement in March 2008. The Swedes will see a beautiful winter wedding in February 2009.

- Princess Madeleine doesnt have so much luck in her lovelife. She will break up with Jonas. She will get everything together, will be succesful in her working life and represent Sweden more than she has done earlier.

I don't know about a Juan Felipe, only because there are already two Felipes in the family (Crown Prince and Froilan) and already two Juans (King and Juan Valentin) If they have a little boy, I think they should call him Alfonso Juan Pelayo:wub: They probably will just give him one name though, like Leonor and Sofia, so I think they would go with Alfonso!

Denmark:
- Marie and Joachim will marry in the month of May and in the fall of 2008
they will announce that Marie and Joachim is going to be parrents to a
littel girl.

- Mary will be pregnant and she and Frederik will be the proude parrents of a
littel girl.
- Henrik announce that he will be better to speak Danish  But Margrethe
will have to undergo a operation ( i don´t know wher on her body)

- Gustav and Carina will win the in the court and we will se a grand wedding
with a tearful Benedikte.
Norway:
- Mette-Marit will be pregnant she and Haakon will have a daugther and
name her either Sonja or after Mettes mother.

Sweden:
- Finaly Victoria and her boyfriend will marry and they migth announce a baby
is under the way.

Belgium:
- Ther will be a big scandal with Phillips brother.

Great Britain:
-Edward and Sophie will have a boy whom they name Phillip Charles Andrew
William.

Monaco:
- Albert and Charlene will marry and Caroline and Ernst will have a divorce because of the huge drinking and violent temper from Ernst.

Spain:
The dukes of Lugo will finaly have a divorce and the duke will be striped from all his titels.

Letezia will be tougth to smile alot more and not be the boss in the family..

The Netherlands
- Maxima gets pregnant for the fourth time. She and WA will have a babyboy in the spring of 2009 (and they won't give him an A-name. Probably 'Willem' will be in his name and hopefully 'Claus' ).
- Also Maxima will dye her hair more often (and she may even try a darker colour).
- No pregnancies for Laurentien and Mabel. Laurentien and Constantijn stated they wanted 3 children and Mabel and Friso are happy with their two girls.
- Laurentien stays true to herself and her 'Laurentois' outfits. Mabel will throw away her blackcoloured lipstift.
- Annette will give life to babyboy.
- Maybe a second baby for Anita and PC. The other Van Vollenhoven-girls have a baby-free year (Marilene and Maurits wanted three children and they have had three, Aimee and Floris just became parents).

Belgium
- Mathilde gives life to a babygirl. I like Eleonore (Elinor, Leonore), Anna or Madeleine (all biblical names).
- Laurent gets in trouble (what's new...)
- Astrid remains to be a great support for Albert and the monarchy

Norway
- Martha and Ari will announce a third pregnancy. Liv for a girl or Harald or Olav for a boy
- Mette and Haakon: no pregancy news (but I would like to see another baby, though).

Denmark
- My guess is that both Mary and Marie get pregnant and announce it in the autumn of 2008 and the babies (both boys) will be born in Spring 2009.

Spain
- Letizia will give birth to a boy (Carlos, Alfonso or Nicolás) in November
- Elena and Jaime get divorced
- No news about Cristina and Iñaki

Sweden
- I voted earlier for a wedding for Victoria and Daniel. But I think CP and Emma will say 'I do' first. But I feel that if V&D don't get engaged in 2008, they'll split up (don't no why). Madeleine and Jonas keep on dating.

My speculations for 2008

Belgium:
- Mathilde and Philippe will have a second daughter: Christine Alix Ghislaine Marie ;) (Princess Maxima will be one of the godmothers)

Denmark:
- wonderful and romantic wedding for Joachim and Marie
- Countess Alexandra will be pregnant (baby girl end 2008/beginning 2009)
- no pregnancies for Mary and Marie in 2008

Great Britain:
-
a son for Sophie and Edward in December 2007; will be christened in April 2008
: George Philip Edward Christopher ;)
- wedding of Peter and Autumn
- engagement of Zara and Mike after Olympic Games

Monaco:
- engagement of Albert and Charlene after Olympic Games; maybe a winter wedding

Netherlands:
- March 2008 => second girl for Annette and Bernhard: Sophia Francisca Julie ;)
- fourth pregnancy for Maxima, evantually a baby boy (July/August/September 2008): Alexander-Maxim Juan Claus Martin ;)

Norway:
- Harald and Sonja celebrates their 40th wedding anniversary
- Märtha Louise and Ari Behn will have a son (October/November 2008): Erik Haakon ;)
- more representations for Mette-Marit and Haakon

Spain:
- divorce for Elena and Jaime
- end of the year (November/December 2008) will Letizia and Felipe announce their third pregnancy (maybe June/July 2009 boy or girl )

Sweden:
- March 2008: engagement of Victoria and Daniel Westling
- June 2008: romantic wedding of Victoria and Daniel

But it's all speculation...

Is Queen Fabiola in poor health? I have heard a couple of speculations that she will pass away soon-God forbid!

I know she appears frail, but otherwise she seems comparatively healthy.

I personally feel that it is somewhat tasteless to speculate that someone will die, irrelevant of the fact that it is a part of life. I think we should focus on happy things that will happen in 2008.

Greece:
Alexia will announce fifth pregnancy by the end of the year

Spain:
Fifth child by the end of the year for Cristina (a daughter)
Letizia will become pregnant (a third girl)

Netherlands:
Third child for Mabel (a boy)
No more pregnancy for Laurentien

Japan:
Baby for Sayako
No more pregnancy for Masako

Norway:
Another baby for Mette-Marit (a girl)

Sweden:
Marriage for Viktoria and Daniel but no pregnancy-announcement
Carl-Phillip and Emma will become engaged shortly before Viktoria´s wedding

ALBERT AND CHARLENE???
NEVER! EVER! EVER!!!!
I've no doudt that she must be a wonderful girl with lots of qualities. But let's be honest... Monaco is and always will be Caroline's realm. Can you really imagine Charlene taking over Caroline's place in monegasque institutions and events? No way! She lacks Caro's aura... Albert may be the soverain of Monaco, but Caroline is definitely the true queen of the principality

Denmark:
- Marie and Joachim will marry... may be pregnant by end of year
- Mary will not be again until begining of 2009

Norway:
- Mette-Marit will announce another pregnancy
-Martha Louisa may announce a baby but for some reason I feel she finds motherhood a challenge. (dont know why i have this feeling, hopefully i'm wrong.)

Sweden:
- Either Victoria or Carl-Philip will marry...

Belgium:
- Mathilde will have a baby cant predict gender
-There will be more trouble concerning the monarchy

The Netherlands:
- Mabel might become pregnant again; dont think Laurentien or Maxima will announce new pregnancies this year (Laurentien may be done but I think Maxima my become pregnant again in 2009)
- I don't think there will be an abdication either

Great Britain:
- Peter Philipps will marry Autumn
-no announcement of engagement for William if Prince Albert and Princess Victoria announce engagements in 2008.

Spain:
no new pregnancies this years (well, maybe at the end going into 2009 for Letizia but I think Christina and Elena are done)

Monaco:
- I actually think, too that Albert and Charlene will marry! He will shock us all!

I like all these speculations :ROFLMAO:. If we're right, the royals get a busy year with all the weddings, engagements and baby's we planned out for them :D. It would be nice to see in December 2008 which speculations became truth.

It might be a little too late, but may I still tell the royals' fortune in 2008?

Belgium

Princess Mathilde will give birth to a healthy girl.

Bhutan
The king will take wives.

Denmark
A stork will visit Prince Joachim and Marie soon after their marriage.
Princess Mary will not be pregnant in 2008, but perhaps early in 2009..
Countess of Frederiksborg will deliver a daughter.

Morocco
Princess Lalla Salma will have a healthy boy in November or December.

Norway
The king will get healthy.
A stork will visit Princess Mette-Marit. She will give birth in the spring of 2009.

Netherlands
No pregnancy news for Prince and Princess of Orange, but they will live happily, healthily with their cute children.

Spain
Princess Letizia will announce her pregnancy, probably before June.
Infanta Sofia will start to toddle.

Sweden
Princess Victoria will announce her engagement with Daniel. (I would bet a half of my monthly salary on this!)
Prince Carl Philip will announce his engagement with Emma, but not until Princess Victoria's engagement.

Thailand
King Rama IX will get healthy and keep his position, the longest-reigning current head of state in the world.
Princess Sirindhorn will visit Japan twice at least.

United Kingdom
Queen Elizabeth II will keep in excellent physical condition. Prince of Wales has to wait more to become king.
Prince William and Kate finally announce their engagement.
Prince Harry and Chelsy will not engage in 2008, but they will keep on sweet relationship.
Duke of Edinburgh will make a humorous ethnic joke.
Peter Phillips will father a daughter, so Princess Anne will be a grandmother.
Princess Beatrice will begin a romance with someone steady, very different from Paolo.

Japan
Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko will have a peaceful and healthy year.
Princess Masako will successfully adjust herself to the imperial life, and attend at more rituals and contribute to the imperial family in a better way.
Princess Kiko will recover from illness and restart her sign-language job soon.
Prince Hisahito will start to speak not only words but also sentences.
Princess Aiko will enter school and have a lot of friends. Her teacher will find her talented in art and music.
Princess Mako will travel abroad in summer again, probably to Oceania or Southeast Asia.
Princesses Kako and Yoko will make an excellent record respectively in figure skating and in kendo.
Nothing new will happen to Crown Prince and Prince of Akishino. They will help the emperor and empress as filially as they did in 2007.
Princess Hisako's manicure will be much gaudier.
Prince and Princess of Hitachi will visit North America.
Prince or Princess of Mikasa might have a light health problem but will recover soon.
Prince Tomohito will recover from alcohol addiction a little and be much more outspoken.
Princess Akiko will announce her engagement with her friend at university.
Tabloids will reveal Princess Tsuguko's new sexual blog again. If there is no such scandal on her, she will announce her engagement with a Scotsman.
Mrs. Kuroda, former Princess Sayako, will restart her job as an ornithologist.
Mrs. Ikeda, former Princess Atsuko, will resign as highest priestess of the shrine of Ise. Mrs. Konoe, former Princess Yasuko, will succeed it.
No stork will visit any imperial members in 2008.
I have a foreboding that the Japanese imperial family will see their first divorce since 1896. I cannot tell which couple will split. Just a hunch...

I guess that Crown princess Mathilde of Belgium will give birth to baby girl.

Queen Rania of Jordan will become pregnant again

This thread is now locked. No more predictions will be made, as we're in 2008.
