Ah, it is just wishful thinking by most posters.

He has a quite restraint performance with sometimes a grim face and looking a bit distant and aloof, this does not fit in the superficial celeb culture of plastic smiles with pearly white teeth and botox-faces.

But Don Jaime is Don Jaime. And he suffered a serious stroke which has affected his expression. I don't think Doña Elena and Don Jaime will separate. Often such a period only strengthens the bond between two people.
