That's good too! His face in this pic just inspires so many ideas. But I like yours the best. "Oh dear," he thinks with a feeling of dread. "Spain is in trouble!"

Haha...Yes. The King seems to be quite annoyed. But did you noticed that King Juan Carlos seems to be ALWAYS bored in official events like this one? At his son's wedding he looked like watching the clock to go out the church, and then, when the Royal family was waving at the Oriente Palace balcony, he was always turning his head away, toward the inside of the building, just to see if the meal was already served!

Vanesa.

One of king Juan Carlosīs best friends had died on the day of the christening of Sofia. No wonder that he looked serious.

Sorry, I didn't know it. I'm ashamed of myself.

So, any comment here.

I don't think anyone would have known Vanesa, don't be too hard on yourself.

I am sorry to learn about the King's friend's death. Especially if he just learned of the death that day, he would not be at all smiling or laughing, no matter how funny or cute people were being. He was obviously in the first phase of shock.
Poor man, now when he remembers his granddaughter's christening, he will remember his dear friend.

You're right, that would be really hard on poor JC. The death of his dear friend takes the fun out of the picture, which is, admittedly, very cute.
Patrick.

Well, in the spirit of putting the fun back in this thread.........

Prince Charles, sampling the local cider at Barrington House, Somerset (polfoto)
"Ew, awful!"

Haha (wiping the awful stuff off his lips) I meant, awfully good! (thinking) Maybe I can get Milla to try it, hehe. She'll be furious. I'm such a rascal!

Man: Your Majesty, this ensemble suits you so much. You look great. And the colour fit to the colour of your eyes...
Beatrix (thinking): He can't tell me, that he mean this serious.
Alexander (thinking): Look out, boy. You are talking to my mother. If you going on bootlicking, we get a real problem.

Prince William and Prince Charles (in 2002) at the Holyroodhouse Garden Party
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...11pwilliam.jpg (from Hello!'s 25th birthday special on Prince William)
Prince Charles: Now, William, are you listening? It's very important, at these events to listen to people, pay attention, stay focused, ok? Because they have come a long way, many of them, to be here, to see us, so we have to stay focused. Are you understanding?
Prince William: (in lala land) Was your hair always so...grey, Dad? What nice eyes you have, so .... like mine! Very handsome!

This one, Princess Caroline and Charlene Wittstock at Monaco's Red Cross Ball from Isifa is begging for a caption. Anyone?

Maybe this? It kind of looks like Caroline is talking to Stephanie, actually (on second look) and Charlene is having a funny thought about it.
Caroline: Steph, no more dancing for you, no more drinks either. You're too wild!
Charlene: (thinking) Oh geez, I'm so glad Caroline is not my big sister!

Prince Charles and Camilla finding their way in Worcestershire somewhere....
Someone points the way for them, though (hola.com)
The Prince: Excuse me, I'm sorry to be a bother.... Might you tell us the way to the town hall? We have an engagement there, see?

The man: Oh sure, your highness.... just that way, straight down two blocks, take a right turn, and it's on the left.

The Prince: Excuse me? You say, right turn, left side?
The man: Yes, that's right!
Camilla: (thinking) Oh dear, we better jot this all down. Charles will never remember....

Camilla and the tattoo-covered man (hola.com)
Camilla: My, those are some interesting body arts you have there!
The man: Oh you like? See this one on my arm, it's new.... What about you, I know you have one somewhere?!
Camilla: (taken aback) Oho, me, no, nowhere, hahahaha!

Default Monaco's Prince Albert and Charlotte Casiraghi

Source: Townsend's Weblog about Charlotte

Monaco National Day soccer, 19 November 2001
Albert: Look! See, Papa, do you see? Do something! It's an outrage, clearly a foul against our team, and the referee does nothing?!

At the Monaco National Day soccer tournament, 19 November 2001
Charlotte: Albert, pray, tell me. What is the point of soccer? What is the bloody point of it?

same but different
Albert: Well, you see, besides being a terrific game, there are all these sweaty athletic men....
Charlotte: Oh yeah, when you put it that way....
Albert: You won't let me forget I said that, will you?
Charlotte: "Never!"

Andrea: (pleased with what he sees) Very nice!

Tatiana saw that!

Tatiana: Hey, Andy, hey you, listen to me?! What was that about?

Andrea protesting his case
Andy: Come on, Tati, what's the big deal? I can't look?
Tatiana: (hurt) But I wore this colorful bikini.... just for you!

Tatiana needs some time?
Andy: Come on, baby, you know you're my #1. It was just a look.... what do you want? Ice cream, jewelry, shoes?
Tatiana: Well........

Andy makes a phone call
Andrea: Yes, I'm going to need the largest, freshest bouquet of roses, and something from Cartier thrown in.... yes, put it on my mama's black card. And a note....
