I watched it today and I was enchanted by the whole ceremony. I can't help but wonder how the next Coronation will look like. I love how Westminster Abbey is completely changed and built up to accommodate so many guest. I want to see full pomp and pageantry for the next one.

Thanks so much for posting the video of the complete coronation. I've not sat and viewed it yet but its something I do plan on doing probably later on tonight.

When my grandparents were in school, they sang God Save The King every day (my parents sang God Save The Queen and O Canada). My maternal grandfather, Samuel Gerrard Embrey, Jr. was born in Birmingham, and came to Canada in 1919 when he was eight years old, after his parents both died of the Spanish Flu (he was an only child), and he lived in an orphanage run by nuns and worked as a home boy. My youngest brother got his 6 foot 1 height from him, and me and my two younger brothers, the three youngest grandchildren on both sides, never met him because he died of lung cancer in October 1978, just 16 days short of his 67th birthday. I didn't come along until the end of July 1990 (on Charles and Diana's ninth wedding anniversary, to be exact).

It's a shock to even think this many people attended Queen Victoria's Coronation #OTD 1838-
