Alia and Feisal have been good friends with the Dukes of Palma since the late ones went to their honeymoon in Jordan in 1997, the Princes of Preslav have always been close to the Palmas so they befriended Alia and Feisal as well

The whole group is: The Dukes of Palma (and sometimes Elena joins as well), Princess Alexia and Carlos Morales, Cristina de Borbon Dos Sicilias and Pedro Lopez-Quesada, Prince Feisal and Princess Alia of Jordan, Prince Kyril and Princess Rosario of Bulgaria, sometimes they are joined by Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, they aren't many royals who spend as much time together as these ones do;)
 
Isn't Queen Sofia good friends with Queen Noor?

The Princes of Asturias began their honeymoon in Jordan after the wedding of the prince Hamzah. Later I believe that it was in the vacations of Holy Week of 2006 the Princes returned to travel to Jordan, and according to the Spanish press they were present at some type of celebration deprived on the occasion of the wedding of the Prince Hashem. When they travel to Jordania they are guests of the Royal Family.

I have never seen this whole group hanging out all together even once. Except for Haakon and MM, the rest are Cristina's cousins (Alexia and Cristina BS) or friends. Haakon and MM are good friends of Kyril and Rosaria and were staying at their house in Mallorca a few times. Since Cristina and Inaki befriends with Kyril and Rosaria, they were hanging out together a little, Haakon and MM are neither good friends of Cristina or Inaki, or the rest of the group.
 
I think they are close indeed tough I am never too generous wit the term ´friend´. Albert consulted only two people (apart from his immidiate family) when he wondered if he should accept the throne or pass it on to Phillipe: Juan-Carlos and Beatrix.

The hostility between the House Van Oranje-Nassau and the House Van België / De Belgique / Von Belgien has indeed gone since the interbellum, when finally the two Sovereigns from the neighbouring states did visit each other.

Before that there was a frosty cold between the King of the Netherlands, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, whose two European Realms bordered the new state (result of a break up with the Netherlands). There was genuine respect between Queen Juliana/Queen Beatrix and King Baudouin. Between Queen Beatrix and King Albert II there seems to be mutual feelings of friendship indeed. So the relationship has come to this point, from far.

Thanks for the info, I knew Alia and Feisal were friendly with Cristina and Inaki but hadn't realised they were close to the others.

Since Donna has said, I do not believe that they are friends, they coincide because they have a few friends jointly, the Dukes of Palma, but I do not believe that they have a great friendship. They coincide in Palma de Mallorca, only that. The Dukes of Palma are friends of the Princes of Preslav and the Princess Alia spends the vacations with the Spanish Royal Family and they coincide. Of the same way Hakoon and Mette Marit they are friends of the princes of Preslav and can coincide with the Dukes of Palma. I believe that the link it is more the common friendship than a strong friendship between all.
 
Haakon and Mette-Marit are friends with the Preslav and are usually guests of the Dukes of Palma when they come to Mallorca (I have never seen the CPs of Norway in Mallorca with either Lugos or Asturias), obviously Alexia and Cristina are cousins of Infanta Cristina, but for example Iñaki is good friends with both their husbands and you see them hanging around a lot and with Kyril as well; so at least Cristina+Cristina BDS+Alexia+Kyril+Feisal are friends with each other (the friend of my friend is my friend :lol:)

Faisal and Alia come to Mallorca every year, you see her with Cristina all the time in there (well, not now since the Infantas are both in Montenegro) and as I shown in pics before, they spend a lot of time together (I don't think they would spend every summer together for an obligation;)) and if you noticed the birthday pics carefully, all you see is good friends having a good time, there weren't much foreign guests, only the closest ones

The Dukes of Palma are the ones who have more interaction with the other royal houses since they go to a lot of events, but I won't say for example that Iñaki is best friends with him just for this pic:

I'm just naming the ones that are actually close with the Dukes of Palma away from protocol and obligations; and as for family, you don't see for example Bruno & Felipe or Frederik & Pavlos hanging out with their wives like Alexia and Cristina do with their husbands, we aren't necessarily friendly with all our relatives or even with our in-laws:cool:

One more thing, about the group being all together: are you always with ALL your friends? I don't think so and in terms of agenda and such, it's almost impossible for them to be all together unless is in a royal celebration or so, doesn't mean they are not friends;)

I don't think it's enough to claim that two royals are friends because they conversed at a royal gathering. Haakon and Mette-Marit were never the guests of Cristina and Inaki in Mallorca. They were always the guests of Kyril and Rosario and stayed at the house of Kyril and Rosario. It was the courtesy of the SRF to invite other royals to sail on Yacht Fortune for a day or so when they vacationed in Mallorca. Frederick of Denmark (and Mary) had also been invited to sail on Fortune in 2002 when they vacationed in Mallorca.

I agree with you completely, I gave two examples above of the situation;)

And as for the Frederik/Mary thing, are you sure it was on 2002? since they haven't gotten married then, maybe they went as friends? and who was their host that time? Felipe? The Queen? I would like to know so I can search for pics:)

There were no pictures of them with any member of the SRF. billedbladet had a picture of them standing next to their car and closing the car door. The press said the King invited Frederick, he brought his then girlfriend Mary with him. I believe Frederick had also been invited the previous years with his exes (Maria and Betina).
Felipe was not there (not sure about the other members). My observation over the years, except for the period of regatta competitions, Felipe never spent much time in Mallorca. He was usually on trips with his friends.

I am in agreement with you well is known the friendship that unites to them, they whenever they can spend together days in summer and as it were possible to be verified in the funerales of 11M the palm Dukes were desolate and they at any moment tried them to console :)

wow crisiñaki, you gave us a lot of photos to notice the friendship.
It's well known that Cristina and Alexia are very closed friends...they spent a flat in Barcelona and also Alexia is the godmother of Pablo.
With Hakoon and MM maybe it's not so close, but also between the Preslav couple and Palma couple there is a long time friendship...you can see in vacations or not vacations, even Rosario is the godmother of Irene.

And also I am with you that even if you are in some ocassion with somebody it doesn't mean that you have a good friendship, it can only be the photo ;)
 
I think that moulay Rachid of Morocco and Willem Alexander of The Netherlands,are very good friends.

Queen Margrethe and Queen Sonja are close friends. They sometimes spend their skiing holidays together.

All the scandinavian royals seem to be very, good friends.
Silvia&Carl Gustav, Sonja&Harald, Magrethe&Henrik.
And also the new generation
Mary&Frederik, Mette-Marit&Haakon, Madeleine&Victoria, Martha&Ari.

Martha and Laurentien, AND Maxima, Mathilde and Mette-Marit also seem to get along very well.

They had these skiing holidays for several years before Margrethe's knee problems put a stop to it, didn't they?

Orange-Nassau: closest with the Brabants and with (part) of the Jordans

The Orange-Nassaus are happy to be on friendly terms with almost all Houses. (There are also Houses with almost no relationship outside the official contacts, for an example Monaco).

Two of the closest relationships are the one between Prince Willem-Alexander/Princess Máxima and Prince Philippe/Princess Mathilde.
They seem to see each other quite regularly outside all the events we see in public.

Also close are the relationships between Prince Willem-Alexander/Princess Máxima and Princess Rahma bint al Hassan, Princess Sumaya bint al Hassan, Princess Badiya bint al Hassan and Prince Rashid bin al Hassan. Reason for the friendship is the long, long and close relationship of Queen Beatrix and the late Prince Claus with their parents Prince Hassan bin al Talal and Princess Sarvath al Hassan. They hardly come in public but due to their parents' close friendship, the four children of the couple and the three sons of Queen Beatrix know each other like cousins.

From 1965 to 1999 Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath were the Crown Prince and -Princess of Jordan. Therefore they had many contacts with their 'colleagues', many of them now Sovereigns in the meantime. There is no any major highday (or sad day) in the House of Orange-Nassau without Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath. During last week's Ball at Het Loo Palace, the couple was present as well, accompanied by the beautiful Princess Sumaya and Princess Badiya (and their spouses).

Does any one know weather the Royals r friendly to the Other Royals or not, and they r friendly to witch Royals around the world????

King Constantine of Greece and Prince Philip seem to be close. I know that they are cousins, but they also seem to be good friends.

Princesses Victoria and Madeline of Sweden seem to have a very close relationship. They are sisters, but they also seem to be very close friends. :flowers:
 
Monaguese - Belgian - British Royal Family
I read in Prince Amedeo of Belgium thread that he invited Prince Beatrice and Pierre Casiraghi to his birthday party few years ago.

Monaguese - Luxembourg Royal Family
Based on the infos (correct me if I'm wrong), Prince Felix of Luxembourg is currently attending the same university with Tatiana Santo Domingo, a girlfriend of Andrea Casiraghi in New York. Prince Felix is also an extended friend of Valentine Pozzo di Borgo, a friend of Charlotte Casiraghi in facebook. Prince Guillaume did watch a soccer game in Monaco with Prince Albert, Andrea and Peirre in 2005, but that one when he was in Monaco for formal ocassion.

Monaguese - British Royal Family
Prince Albert definitely a friend of Prince Charles. They met up again early 2007 for an environmental event, but that's formal. Princess Grace and Prince Albert was invited as a special guest .. or something during the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. We know the story of Princess Grace and Princess Diana and her advice to her. She attended her funeral in 1981. Prince Philips's father used to live in Monaco and there're pics of Prince Philips and Princess Grace in Monaco thread together with other members. However, QEII did not attend the wedding of Prince Ranier and Princess Grace as she mentioned the ocassion would be attending by too many celebrities. Princess Caroline and Prince Ernst did meet up with QEII in 1990 to ask for the approval of their marriage. I think they stop visiting each other since the death of Princess Grace. Prince Harry was attending the same rugby games with Prince Albert and Andrea Casiraghi in Paris (England vs France), so sure they would seat separately :D.

According to the Grand Ducal family website Felix is not in school but at a Swiss Company specializing in Sports. So he may know Tatiana but I'm not sure. here is the link if you want to go read about him: Cour grand-ducale de Luxembourg - Le Prince Félix
