I saw the former Lisa Halaby, Queen Noor, on Anderson Cooper the other day. She is a beautiful woman, in the Grace Kelly mode. She was talking about a bombing in Amman, I recall something about Jordan being like one big family. So my attention wandered to her perfectly made up and chemically frozen face. I’m not one of those women who can read plastic surgery at a glance — it’s just not that interesting to me — but it’s hard not to notice when a woman is speaking of a tragic bombing in her adopted country and she can’t seem to make a facial expression of concern about it.It was remarkable. Her lips were moving, and occasionally her eyebrows would make a heroic move of a millimeter or two, but otherwise, her face was as animated as porcelain. She seemed to know this, and was compensating by moving her head instead, little darting motions here and there that never gave the camera operator problems, but presented the semi-illusion of a spirit behind the words. :(
Very strange. I’ve never been a beauty, so I never had to worry about the Tragedy of Losing One’s Looks. It frequently seems beauty masks a howling void of insecurity. :(

I reed somewhere, but I forgott when that the Duchesse of Alba had a cerebral stroke some years ago. It's the reason why she has some difficulties to move her mouth; but for the others features of her face, i agree she had to make some ( understatment) plastic surgery.

but that cnn - everything photoshopped.
when you look at pictures with her non-photoshopped - she looks not that way so i am still not really sure about the fact that she really did plastic surgery :)

Personally,I can understund the botox work of Queen Silvia who is now on her 60,and also Queen Noor who is over 50,but I don't understund why a person like Queen Rania would do that, she's on her mid 30's,and the botox or whatever she's doing with her face, makes her face less human, and very hard...nothing to have with what she was when she was a new Queen.

Also,I think that Mary didn't have any botox or work on her face, maybe she had some peelings, but she makes very well her age,and she looks very human.

About Rania, when you have that kind of money you just don't know how to spend it so she throws it away on innecessary botox and gowns and stuff.

I don't think that any CP has had plastic surgery or botox, their faces are so lively and bright they surely don't need that and I hope they'll never start with the toxins (botox is a toxin that's why you need a certified doctor to apply it ).

Queen Rania is a surgery success. She had her nose reshaped so it does not get all the attention and now we can see how beautiful the rest of the face is. With Rania the main feature now is her eyes when her before pictures where just a face trailing behind a big nose.

Queen Sylvia, well, she went for something that might have look good on paper but the end results were a disaster. Her face looks plastic, her smile has become a horrible grin that resembles Jack Nicholson as the joker of the mask from the movie V for Vendetta. The problem with surgery and money is that some people just don't know when to stop. I can see more surgery in her royal future to a point she will be as unrecognizable. Just like the Duchess of Alba is today when you compare her to her old photos.

I don't think anyone (with Michael Jackson's exception of course ) will get to the same point the Duchess of Alba has reached, she really is in the limit, I think at this point her bellybutton is in her face because of all nip/tuck she submitted herself to.

I shudder when I think of the possibility of seeing QS or QR become the botox queens of the XXI century as the Duchess of Alba and MJ were of the XX

QR's face is a lot less 'mobile'than it was even a couple of years ago which I think is a shame as she didn't need any botox. Her skin is quite shiny at times which makes me think chemical peel or microdermabrasion which is fine but botox? She should have saved it for when she really needed it . In close up pics it looks like she has either had fillers or peeling at the corner of her eyes as she has less fine lines at the corners of her eyes now than she did about 5 years back - and I am especially thinking of the close up picture of her with Cherie Blair. She looks like a waxwork doll these days because her face hardly moves. Her face has hardened considerably esp over the last couple of years.

QS is well, at least she is of an age where she can justify it. The Duchess of Alba - was it a stroke? In which case huge sympathy or is it bad cosmetic surgery? In which case

In person, QR is attractive but not stunning - she doesn't look half as hot in person as she does in the publicity photos or the Vogue type ones but because she has heavy features she is very photogenic. She's about 5'5 to 5' 6'', skinny as heck and if you get her from the wrong angle

Does anyone think Camilla Duchess of Cornwall has had anything done or will get anything done?

I don't think she has, but some do. I don't think I am usually very good at picking who has and hasn't had surgery though.
I think things such as nose jobs and having your cheeks, chin, teeth, jaw done and whatever are great, but I think with botox since it is a poison it could be dangerous and it isn't permanent so you have to keep getting more, and you need to make sure with face lifts too you don't get to stretched and tight looking. But if I could afford surgery I'd be on the table tomorrow.

My sentiments exactly.

And I think that Queen Silvia was a natural beauty. It's sad she could not age gracefully.

Yeah she's the royal with the most dramatic "before and after" I've ever seen

I don't know if she still qualifies as being royal but Sarah, Duchess of York, has definitely had some surgery done in the last year or so. She now has those puffed lips and tight eyelids that scream "face work!"
