I think the Luxembourg Royals are also religious.

Is it possible CP Felipe is also agnostic/atheist and puts up a front since he's heir to the throne?

I find it quite possible Letizia is agnostic/atheist because of the look on her face when Pope came to Spain.

What look on her face?

Letizia doesn't seem very religious to me but I'd always thought Felipe to be at least somewhat religious. I mean he is going to be the leader of a Catholic country.

I saw a few pics of her having an expression as though she did not want to see the Pope or take part in the mass.

I think of Queen Elizabeth as being quite religious. The way she had conducted herself suggests this. The fact that she's 84 or 85 years old and seems to be in good health is another factor. Those who are religious tend to live longer than those who are not and they usually are in good health.

I think of Prince Charles as being somewhat religious. It's hard for me to see him as a future Defender of the Faith when he violated his marriage vows to Diana, although he has admitted what's he did and has moved on from there. This I will give him credit for as no one is perfect.

I think most royals are somewhat to moderately religious and pick and choose what they practice. Most believe in God or a Supreme Being. Few are what you would call very religious. Most keep their religious beliefs private (you don't hear them talking about it in public).

Oh. Yea I noticed those too but I thought you were referring to a specific look.

I remember reading somewhere CP Victoria believes in God. Queen Silvia published a prayer book, and so did Mette Marit. And GD Maria Teresa is a devout Catholic.

Maxima and Mathilde come off as religious.Sofia,Margrethe, and Elizabeth come off as the most religious queens.

I know she's not a CP but,I wonder if Kate is religious. She along with William did write their own prayer at the wedding and it was very well written.

I think the most devout Crown Princely couples are almost undoubtedly Mathilde and Philippe of Belgium, along with Henri and Maria Teresa of Luxembourg.

IMO, Mathilde is the most religious crown princess and Sophia of Spain the most religious queen.

Queen Elizabeth II is a devout orthodox Anglican (Church of England) and only misses a weekly service if unwell.

Does anyone know if she is always joined by Prince Philip?

Yes, the Danish Royal Family
In DK QMII is considered a religious monarch, so is CP Frederik.

I´m not sure that CPss Mary had to became lutheran upon the marriage to CP Frederik I know that Countess Alexandra is a convert, as are Prince Henrik.
But I´m not so sure about CPss Mary. I think she´s still Presbyterian... IIRC then she have had biblestudy with Bishop Erik Normann-Svendsen, but she didn´t convert...

You don't actually convert from Presbyterianism to Lutheranism, because the two church bodies agree on most dogmas and practices! The main difference is in the organisation of the churches!
As far as I remember, Mary was informed of the Danish Evangelical-Lutheran church by bishop Erik Norman Svendsen, and my best guess is that she became a member of Church of Denmark once she became a Danish citizen! AFAIK you're correct, Faster B. that she could have remained a Presbyterian, but there's no recent tradition that 'imports' are sticking to their religious guns once married.
Alexandra Manley was confirmed into the Lutheran faith! It's not that the Lutherans and Anglicans are that different, but they're different in so far that the Lutheran church is often an unknown minority church in places where the Anglican Church is dominant.

I recall having read that Madame, Elisabeth Charlotte of Orleans (Liselotte von der Pfalz) wrote in a letter about the daily mass at the Court of Louis XIV. that it was nice to see everyone in their finery and being oggled by the whole court while noone dared to comment on what they saw during the religious ceremony.

Maria-Theresia of Austria who worked hard on reigning her inherited lands, was known to enjoy the daily mass because it was a time noone could approach her with something, so she got time to think.

Does sound more pragmatic than religious to me...

I would say Fabiola, Mathilde, Maria Teresa, and Sofia all seem very religious to me.

I think Luxembourg RF is super religious! I've heard some of family members attend Mass every day... so MT and future Mrs Guillaume will be the most religious to me :)
