royals and horses...

other than the British RF of course, is riding a large part of the life of the other familes...do the Dutch, Belgian, etc. children learn to ride as a matter of course? I have seen things about Catherine Amalia attending dressage shows and Estella getting a pony so just curious.

Royals and Horses...

Other than the windsors of course, do the other royal families have a horse passion...do the young princes and princesses of Belgium, the Netherlands, etc. learn to ride as a matter of course? I ask because I have seen things like Catherine amalia going to dressage events and baby Estelle getting a pony.

Martha Louise of Norway was a competitive rider in her youth. She trained in England.
Mary of Denmark is known to ride. Benedicte of Denmark is closely associated with the equestrian world and her daughter won an Olympic bronze in Dessage for Denmark in 2008.
Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands likes to ride as does Infanta Elena of Spain.

the swedish royals love to ride a lot, the duchess of gastrikland and halsingland is especially fond of riding she once even posted a photo of some of the horses owned by the royal family on facebook
