Royals Among The People And With Children

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I wonder if any of these staff members helped Princess Charlene during her delivery and post-op care when the twins were born?

A beautiful picture of William hugging one of the survivors of 7/7 at todays event. Such a comforting hug!

And this is why I have such a huge amount of respect for this man. He is not afraid to reach out and provide a listening ear, a compassionate heart, and a comforting hug. I'm just a little terry-eyed looking at this picture.

If anyone can empathize with others that have had their lives changed in a blink of the eye, its William. He knows what it feels like and how much it probably meant to him to see such an outpouring of grief that echoed his own when his mum died and also 10 years on, how it felt to honor her and remember her and still feel the grief tug at his heart.

Courtesy of Al_bina. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, and his wife, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie during engagements on July 13. Love the shots with the children.

Today, Crown Princess Mary has make a visit to Aarhus University Hospital with (and as patron of) the Danish Heart Association:

Lovely pictures of Mary and the "heart children". She is so good with children and takes her very good time to each of them.

No they can't! Yes, she is! Love it- love it- love it!

Thank you LadyFinn! Victoria looks so natural and genuinely interested in those kids and what they are doing... The King is veyr funny: he seems awkward around them, but also very endearing!

What is a residence permit? I love crown Princess Victoria with the kids- she seems so at ease with them. KCG, not so much! Perhaps her Majesty Queen Silvia would've been a better choice for this engagement!

I agree; the poor man was looking like a fish out of water. Though he gets lots of brownie points for trying. I'm sure the kids appreciated the effort. Victoria is a pleasure when it comes to children. She's very natural, and at ease when in their company.

What is a residence permit?
Permission by the authorities for someone to take residence, usually the permit is limited to a certain time frame (these are issued to students wanting a semester abroad, people who want to work abroad for a limited time frame or asylum seekers once they got granted asylum). The residence permit is one step below the right of unlimited residence, when someone gets granted the right to live in the country forever. The residence permit is also one step above the exceptional leave to remain, which is often granted week by week and where deportation always lingers. I believe (if someone knows better, please correct me), that this has been standardized throughout the Schengen area, so I think the above (which is the system we use here in Germany) is valid for Sweden, too. (EU, Schengen, Eurozone, it does get confusing, even for us EU citizens.)

best wishes Michiru

Shortly. They know they are allowed to stay for a few weeks, the people in school there are getting school while waiting to know if they will be allowed to stay in Sweden for a few years. They are refugees.

I love the expression on the little girl's face in the 2nd photo- like " Wow!" . The little girl in the 3rd photo and some of the other photos is adorable. The baking photos themselves are cute- " A little baking, a little eating, hey why not?" ;) :D . @ Daria- you should invite Mary to baking lessons at your work. Do let me know when she comes. ;) :D
( She would be ideal for leading baking lessons at " our " school.

Hey, she's welcome at any time. I'll have to ask about cooking activities, because a lot of my kids are tube-fed, and have severe restrictions. Now, making play-dough would be fun, and they won't have to eat it. And, no worries, I'll give you a heads-up if a royal visit happens. Now, as to the pictures, they're great. Mary's having a blast, and the kids are having a blast. What more do we need?

Nothing! Oops! Sorry- that's my bad! I forgot! Let's stick with play dough! That's better in this case, and still lots of fun!

:previous: I have to admit, I don't usually "do" cute but you'd be hard pressed to not crack a smile at that. And I did. :flowers:

:previous:

He indeed does. Such a genuine smile, lovely picture. Thanks for sharing :)
