The residence permit is one step below the right of unlimited residence, when someone gets granted the right to live in the country forever. The residence permit is also one step above the exceptional leave to remain, which is often granted week by week and where deportation always lingers. I believe (if someone knows better, please correct me), that this has been standardized throughout the Schengen area, so I think the above (which is the system we use here in Germany) is valid for Sweden, too. (EU, Schengen, Eurozone, it does get confusing, even for us EU citizens.)

best wishes Michiru

Shortly. They know they are allowed to stay for a few weeks, the people in school there are getting school while waiting to know if they will be allowed to stay in Sweden for a few years. They are refugees.

Mary is on a three-day working visit to New York (September 27 to 29), but there was also time to a relaxed visit to Nordic Food Festival and Mary got a warm welcome and had a blast baking with the children.

( She would be ideal for leading baking lessons at " our " school.

Hey, she's welcome at any time. I'll have to ask about cooking activities, because a lot of my kids are tube-fed, and have severe restrictions. Now, making play-dough would be fun, and they won't have to eat it. And, no worries, I'll give you a heads-up if a royal visit happens. Now, as to the pictures, they're great. Mary's having a blast, and the kids are having a blast. What more do we need?

Nothing! Oops! Sorry- that's my bad! I forgot! Let's stick with play dough! That's better in this case, and still lots of fun!

A sweet little video clip on Facebook of Mary and little Charlie in a little baking contest during Mary's visit in New York. You can't but smile a little

I have to admit, I don't usually "do" cute but you'd be hard pressed to not crack a smile at that. And I did.

It was so touching seeing Victoria and Daniel with ill children... I think they got quite emotional.

Ditto. I got my happy tears for the day! These are my favorites. They totally look like SPED teachers- especially the one of Catherine reading the book. Really fun SPED teachers whose class I'd totally want to be in/ TA for! If I didn't know better- I'd say they were! And the picture of the kids hugging Catherine is just... It says it all.
