Catherine is doing what she does best, which is being her charming and caring self. Love the pictures with the children (especially with the little girl all dressed up, and a little boy who was digging for treasure while chatting to his future Queen ).

Sophie Countess of Wessex visits school for autistic children

This woman would make an outstanding Special Ed. teacher- kids would be begging to come to school- and hate weekends, summer vacations, and holidays.
@ Daria-
What do you think? Robert Hardy as teacher, Sophie as para? Can we say kid heaven?

I have no doubt that with that combination in the classroom, kids would enjoy themselves immensely. Lovely images, as always.

Sophie would make a lovely Learning Disability teacher, she has such a way with the children and they all look thrilled to see her. :)

That´s true, her social skills are admirable and she has a very good, relaxed approach to young teens and children. She could handle every class room and she has the patience to deal with difficult children as well.

As a former Learning Disability student, let me say that had Sophie been my teacher, I would have been thrilled!

I remember seeing this picture before, and getting a little misty-eyed at the expression on Her Majesty's face. It's clear that she's touched, and how can one not be when faced with innocent and genuine love of a child?
