This is going to be the largest private megayacht in the world!
It is 525 feet long, longer than a destroyer navy in HM Queen Elizabeth II's navy, it is the length of two commercial airplanes, and, if stood on end, would be taller than two statues of liberty (stacked one atop the other). Wow!
It will also be incredibly luxurious. It will have its own private mini-submarine (that I guess attaches to the yacht, or goes inside it, or something. It is *not* as large as a military submarine, so don't go thinking this is a nuclear sub or something). It will also have a helipad, and even a runway for small planes There will also be a 'garage' housing jet skis, maybe a small speed boat, and four-wheel drive vehicles (and I do mean plural).
For interior cabins, there will also be a hospital, a gym, a full squash court, and theatre. Along with staff quarters and a large kitchen as befitting a ship of this size. There will also be several rooms for entertaining, and rooms for Sheik Mohammed's children. There will be room to sleep 24 guests, and has an owner's suite, five VIP suites, and six guest suites. All the suites have balconies. And of course all the rooms will be furnished with opulence and the newest technologies, including communications. I would even expect it to have its own satellite dish.

Look at the scaffolding- the flat landings on the side nearest the ship are all one floor apart- so in this picture, I can see four floors! And the scaffolding doesn't even go up all the way! And there are at least a couple of floors below the dock (below the picture). And that doesn't even include the keel! Wow.

My first knowledge of this yacht was on the program "The Fabulous Life of...Presents: the World's Most Insane Mega Yachts." I was just sitting there, working on my photoshops for the 'royal house of fashion' threads, and half watching the show, and all the sudden, they show a picture of Sheikh Mo, and I literally sat up and said out loud, "Princess Haya's husband!" This was their final tada yacht- the last yacht that all the others lead up to. For price comparison, (as the royal family refused to give out any information like that), the next largest yacht they showed,billionaire Larry Ellison's yacht, (although significantly smaller, and a little less tricked out) (no sub ) cost over $200 million dollars (American). I can't even imagine how much money Dubai will cost, but it is certain that it will be a lot more money than the average middle-class American family will make in a lifetime.

The yacht of King Albert of Belgium is called 'Alpa' (Albert + Paola).
He bought a new one recently, but I don't know the name of that one.

The Monegasque Family name their yachts after their children's names:
Caroline has the Pacha III
Grace and Rainier had the Stalca and the Carostefal
Stéphanie had a yacht called Louine in the mid 90's
And I think the Deo Juvante was the family's official yacht.
