She speaks english with a slight British accent. Very proper sounding.

Agreed. Prince Joachim's English sounds just as good. However, CP Frederick's English is heavily accented.

Click on this link to hear King Juan Carlos take the oath as sovereign.

The inflection in the voice of the person giving JC the oath is quite affected and emotional particularly when he admonishes him as follows: if you keep your oath, may God bless you, and if you do not, may God judge you. (Not a precise translation)

I've never heard Queen Margrethe speak English, but on that Danish documentary about (then) Princess Alexandra, you heard Joachim speak it a little, and he sounds very fluent and with hardly any accent. Frederik's is quite accented though.

The most beautiful voice is it of... LEONOR! Hahaha..

I like letizia's firm voice, the tone of cristina's voice and the intonation of maxima!

I heard Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik speak English. (finally!) The Queen has a British accent, yet it's unlike Queen Elizabeth's or Prince Charles', who talk in the back of the throat so you can hardly tell what they're saying. It was very open, and she's very fluent. Prince Henrik has a mixed French and Danish accent, IMO, I think it is a bit more French than Danish, but he also seems to speak it well.

Not royal, but John Donaldson has a very Scottish accent. I kept thinking he was Australian, but then I remembered he was originally from Scotland.

The only Royals that I've ever heard speak are QEII, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, Princes William and Harry, Princess Diana, QMII, Prince Henrik, Prince Joachim. And they all spoke English. The Danish Royals had a strong (but not as strong as the BRF) British accent. Prince Fredrik spoke English with a mixture of British and American accent's. Not to British and not to American. A soft accent. I wish I had speakers on this computer so I could hear them speak!!! I wonder what Maxima sounds like...? I think I've also heard Letizia, and I remember thinking, Wow, she's got a strong clear voice!

I think Maxima's and Queen Beatrix' voice are the total opposite.
Beatrix' voice sounds very girly and soft . Maxima's voice sounds so deep and smoky.
I like both their voices, but I am alsways surprised again when I hear maxima speaking... because then I think: This voice doesn't really "fit". You expect something different when you see her.

The voice that most surprised me, when I first heard her speak a few years ago,was Princess (now Countess) Alexandra of Denmark - i'd expected her to have a least a trace of an Asian accent, but she sounds like she's come from the south of England - probably a results of attending British schools etc. Just out of interest, what's her accent like in Danish (I can't tell the diffferent between picture-perfect and absolutely awful Danish). Thanks!
