Default Robes / dressing gowns

Are servants (maids) allowed to see royals in robes / dressing gowns or even nightgowns, or they have to wait for them to dress up first than enter to their rooms?

Default At Buckingham Palace

(and other royal residences I would assume) royals and guest are awakened by servents. They bring them a tray of tea or coffee and place it by their bed. They then draw the curtains. Who needs an alarm clock...
