What is the age of the royals in recent years when they get married?

I believe all of the heirs were well over 30 (except Haakon) when they got married and the umarried one (Victoria) is already over 30. Have any of the heirs to the throne been younger than that when getting married in recent memory?

Good question, I can't really think of anyone who married under the 30.

Mathilde of Belgium was 26;
Rodolphe de Limburg-Stirum is 29, and his wife Marie Christine is 25;
Louis of Luxembourg was 20, and his wife was 21.

Pavlos was 27 and Marie-Chantal 26 when they got married in 1995 :flowers:
But I guess all these royals are the exceptions to the rule.Most of them usually get married over 30 nowadays,just like most of the common people.

Sophie (26) and Alois (25) vuz Liechtenstein;
Marie Caroline (22) and Philipp (27) von Wurttemberg;
Constantin (27) and Maria (24) vuz Liechtenstein.

Id like to see HRH Prince William engaged at 27 and Married at 28 Prince Henry Maybe 37 or 38

Princess Diana of Wales was 19, Prince Charles was 32

Why do you think Harry should be in his dotage before he gets married? It didn't work so well for the PoW.

well true but also he needs to grow up a bit..JMHO

Victoria's mother, queen Sylvia was almost 33 when he married 4 years younger Carl Gustav.

Caroline of Monaco married young. She was 21 when married Philippe Junot and 26 when married Stefano Casiraghi.

Maybe he just needs the right woman. :lol: Just joking.

Actually, I think Harry has an unexpected interest in monogamy, given that his relationship with Chelsy lasted so long. But it might be difficult to find a young woman willing to tolerate the intrusion into her own life and possessing the ability to rein him in a little. And he probably needs some time to get over Chelsy and concentrate on his career, especially since he failed his helicopter exams. I hope he's successful at finding the right one, I think he could be seriously derailed by a bad marriage.

How fun! I was married at 31. I thought I'd add to the thread:

Denmark
(then) Princess Alexandra: 31 and 5 months
Crown Princess Mary: 32 and 3 months
Princess Marie: 32 and 3 months

The Netherlands
Princess Maxima: 29 and 10 months
Princess Mabel: 35 and 8 months
Princess Laurentien: just before her 35th birthday

Norway
Crown Princess Mette-Marit: six days after her 28th birthday
Princess Martha Louise: 31 and 8 months

Sweden
Crown Princess Victoria: just days shy of turning 33
Princess Madeline: 28 and a few months

I think Prince William and Kate's age are nearly ideal.Agreat exception in this point is Prince Albert of Monaco who marries in his fifties!

Crown Prince Phillipe was 39
Crown Princess Mary was 32 and Crown Prince Frederik 36 I believe
Prince Joachim was only in his mid-twenties when he married for the first tome though Alexandra was a few years older
King Harald and Queen Sonja were relatively old for their time
Princess Martha Louise was around 30 but I think Ari is slightly younger
Prince Willem-Alexander was 33 and Maxima in her late 20s
Can't think of any more just now

Crown Princess Letizia was 32 and Crown Prince Felipe was 36
Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark was 41 and Tatiana turns 30 just three days after the wedding
Infanta Cristina was 32
Infanta Elena was 32

Most of the royals who marry seem to be in the age range of late twenties to mid-thirties. Early thirties seems to be the norm if you put the ages all together. When Prince Harry marries, he will be probably be in this age range. I don't see him marrying before this time.

When you marry someone, there are certain things that you accept when you marry that person. Some things are just part of the package and you either accept this or you don't. If they are certain things that you would have difficulty with or coping with, then one needs to step back and think things through before entering a marriage. I know that's easier said than done.

I think, only Queen Rania married young, at age 23. King Abdullah was 31.
Queen Noor was 27, Princess Haya 30.

Queen Elizabeth II was 21, Prince Philip was 26.

Both Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were 26 years old when they got married.

Princess Victoria was 33 years old and Prince Daniel was 37 years old when they got married.

Actually, Victoria hadn't turned 33 yet, so she was 32; Daniel was 36. (His birthday is in September).

King Albert and Queen Paola of Belgium were rather young when they married. Queen Paola was 21, almost 22, and King Albert was just 25.

According to Wikipedia, King Baudouin was 30 and Queen Fabiola 32.

It looks like all of the CPs were "old brides"(over 30)minus Mette Marit and Mathilde.But I understand Victoria took her time to get married because she thought about Daniel.Among lots of reasons,he was fully aware that he couldnt work when he married.Im pretty sure he loves his job so he wanted to enjoy the last years of his job.

Denmark
(then) Princess Margrethe was 36; Henri was 41.
Princess Ingrid was 25; Frederik IX was 36.
Christian X was 28; Alexandrine was 18.

Norway

(then) Prince Edward was 21; Princess Alexandra was 18. (Edward VII and Queen Alexandra)

King William III of the Netherlands was 61 when he married Emma of Waldeck Pyrmont; they're the parents of Queen Wilhelmina. Emma was the king's second wife. His first wife, Sophie of Wurttemburg died after giving him 3 sons, all of whom didn't survive to adulthood. He was 22 when he married Sophie.
