Without looking it up on Wikipedia or the Spanish forums, don't you mean Lenor? She is the oldest. Not Sofia.

Queen Ingrid and King Frederik
Married:1935
First Child:1940
Queen Elizabeth and George VI
Married:1923
First Child:1926
I list these because I wonder why it took so long after marriage to have children, even in those times.
Was it because of fertility problems?

Well, it probably goes against popular opinion, but I hope William and Catherine wait awhile before they have a baby.
I think they should just spend this time getting used to their lives together and, Catherine, in particular, acclimating to royal life. When she becomes pregnant it is going to be a media storm.
They are still in their 20s and have plenty of time for babies. I think perhaps around their 2-year anniversary would be a nice time.

I wouldn't say that either of these royal couples were childless, it was just that the children were stillborn. Queen Fabiola had several miscarriages and is said to have had a stillborn child in the mid 1960:ies and queen Louise gave birth to a stillborn daughter in 1925.

I think I've seen it mentioned somewhere that queen Elizabeth had a miscarriage before the birth of princess Elizabeth. I don't know about queen Ingrid, but that could be true for her too.

You mean Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden and her little daughter, Princess Estelle, right?

Mette-Marit actually was 30 years old when Ingrid Alexandra was born in January 2004.

^yes you're right, but i was counting the year they were born, not months, because if so, many posts here (or almost of them) will need to be corrected instead. but yes she was 30 years old, going to be 31 years old the same year.

So you know if there has been any other baby conceived before the wedding?
