Sorry for asking as I really should know this stuff by now! But, are they a recent couple? If they are it isn't such a big deal, but a long time ago it would have been quite a scandal! My bet is on recent though.

Hi Layla, don't apologise. Picking up and sharing new information is the nature of the forum. His Imperial and Royal Highness was born in 1976, his Father HIRH Prince Louis Ferdinand II of Prussia died after suffering severe injuries in an Army training exercise, and apon the death of Prince Georg's Grandfather, HIRH Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia in 1994, he became the head of the Imperial German (and Prussian Royal), House of Hohenzollern.

Thanks Von Schlesian. So he was a 70's baby? It still would have created some talk back then!:)

I wonder if Haakon & Mette-Marit waited awhile in order to let Marius get used to life in the spotlight. It they had had a baby really quickly, it may have been tough on Marius to get used to a new step-dad, new home, press attention, and new sibling all at once!

Maybe that and because Mette-Marit was also still adjusting to royal life.

Just because you get married, doesnt mean you have to have a baby straight away.

Yes, Layla. I like 'den nye lille prins' so much it seems a shame to give him a name now. But when he's older he'll probably tire of being the 'lilleprins'

I'm afraid I had different information. But I am very glad you are correct.
