Norwegian princess makes first visit to Høstfest in 24 years: Her Highness Princess Astrid of Norway landed at Minot International Airport at 4:30 p.m. Monday, about a half-hour ahead of schedule. She is in town for the Norsk Høstfest, her first since she attended in 1983.

Princess tours Heritage Park : On Tuesday the 75-year-old princess, an elder sister of King Harald V of Norway, toured the Scandinavian-American Heritage Park in a golf cart along with her entourage. Later, she braved a sharp wind to answer questions from the local media. She arrived in Minot on Monday and will attend this year’s Norsk Høstfest, which kicked off on Tuesday.

Norwegian princess arrives at Høstfest
The princess is among those being honored at a Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame Banquet on Wednesday night. She is to receive an award for her contribution to international good well and for promoting cultural ties between the U.S. and Norway.
