the photo hiding her face is cute... :)
however, didn't like how mm and haakon dressed her... it's how kids dressed years ago! seems quite antique...
why not dressing her with a little bunad? she would look cute and traditional but not with that "oldie" look...

The pictures are great. I saw a little report on TV and it was very nice. I had to laugh when Ingrid wanted to catch her daddy's hat and he kept her hands away :)

no, as they officially don't belong to the royal house anymore.

When she married Ari Behn she decided that she would give up here place in the official royal family. Meaning that she doesn't have the title Royal Highness, just Princess, and that she don't appear on official things such as state visits, 17 of May etc. But she is still of a part of the family as private persons. She also have to pay tax from her income (she has her own company -doing storytelling and publishing books).
She doesn't have to represent anymore but pitch in when needed and she still has her protectionaries that she follow. You can compare her to Princess Astrid Mrs. Ferner and Princess Ragnhild Mrs. Lorentzen, even though Astrid and Ragnhild was forced to give up their Royal Highness titles when married (you know, oldfashion times). Her giving up her official title is voluntary, she wanted to be her own person separate from the official Norwegian royal family, and to do her own thing.
Hope this helps :)

Thanks to everyone who posted pictures. King Harald is quite missed on the balcony. :( But Queen Sonja, CP Haakon and CP Mette-Marit and Princess Ingrid Alexandra looked like they were having a pretty good time!
A question about Marius: He was not on the balcony with his mom and Haakon, but there were pictures of him. Where was he exactly "situated?"

I thought that Ingrid Alexandra was dressed rather adorably! The long pink jacket with the hat with the flower on the one side was very sweet on her, while also protecting her from the bit of wind I noticed. I don't get what was so "oldie" about her outfit? It was a jacket and a cotton hat. She wasn't dressed an apron with puff sleeves!
I think that a bunad might be a bit complicated to dress a one and a half year old in, and it might be uncomfortable for Ingrid Alexandra to spend a couple of hours in.

Wonderful pictures, thanks everyone who posted!
IA is just the cutest little royal there is, and what a wonderful coat they had her in today! I wonder how Marius felt though, parading past with his class from school, seeing his own mother standing there waving. Must be a strange feeling for him, I hope he's coping well.
