Nobel Peace Prize 2011
This year's Nobel Peace Prize is being awarded to three women jointly for their work in supporting women's rights in developing countries.
Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberia's Leymah Gbowee and Yemen's Tawakkul Karman received the award "for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work," according to a release from the prize committee.
