It is surprising that Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the event, did not show her emotions and cried like she did in 2009. EU needed some carrots to feel better.

I was watching parts of the ceremony earlier on the news and they hardly showed and didn't even mention that the Norwegian Royal family were there!

It has always been that way, it's the president of Stortinget (the Norwegian parliament) who gives the prize to the laureates, and the royal family are there only as guests. One reason for that is probably that when it was decided that the peace prize was to be awarded in Oslo Norway was a part of Sweden and royals were not expected to be a part of the ceremony.

Nobel Peace Prize 2014

Is it already known if someone from the norwegian royal family, the Crown Prince perhaps, will attend this year in Stockholm because of this year´s norwegian Nobel Prize laureats (perhaps at the royal banquet at Stockholm Palace on Dec. 11th)?

Hello. What I know is that the royal family of Norway in Oslo to attend the Nobel Peace Prize. The royal family of Sweden assists in Stockholm, on delivery of the other awards. I think last year was not the ceremony Mette Marit, Haakon was the tribute was held at Nelson Mandela.Harald and Sonia if they were in 2013. I dont know if Mette Marit will be, but can be.

Yes, I know this is the way it is usually being done. But this year has 2 norwegian Nobel Prize winners, May-Britt and Edvard Mose, in medicine. Normally in this case a representative of the winning country attends the ceremony or, at least, the banquet at the Palace one day after the actual Prize ceremony. Willem-Alexander and Félipe (or was it someone from Luxemburg? I can´t remember) did so many years ago as crown princes when a fellow countryman won the award.
And yes, normally the royal and the cp-couples attend the peace prize award ceremony - but last year was another exception to the rule as Haakon attended the funeral of N. Mandela as you pointed out correctly.

Perhaps Princess Märtha Louise and Ari could attend the Ceremony in Stockholm.
My guess is that there is not enough time for the Crown princely Couple to attend the Awards Ceremony in oslo and the fly to Stockholm to attend the Ceremonies there.
But some years agot there where also Laureats from the Netherlands and Spain and none of the Countries send Royals to the Ceremonies. But when there was a Laureat from Luxembourg a few years ago the Grand Ducal Cople attended bot days. Also Princess Benedikte attended once when there was a danish Laureate.
