Default Queensday Celebrations - April 30, 2003
Some great pictures of Queensday Celebrations in the Netherlands, today, April 30. The Dutch royal family was out in full force.

Present: Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem-Alexander, Princess Maxima, Prince Constantijn, Princess Laurentien, Prince Johan-Friso, Princess Margriet and her husband Peter, their sons, Prince Bernhard and his wife Annette, Prince Maurits and his wife Marilene.

Great pictures Alexandria. I like Maxima's outfit... off-white or cream... very simple but nice. And her hat too.

I really love her outfit this year - simple and beautiful. I absolutely love this hat - it reminds me of Princess Claire of Belgium sisters hat at her wedding. Thank GOD Maxima got rid of that awful spaceship hat from last year.

Hi Noor76! I've read some other message boards that agree with your comment to about Maxima's hat resembling Claire Coomb's sister's hat. Here's a picture of Claire's sister (next to Princess Mathilde) and her popular hat.

Laurentien used to be more subtle in her color selection....maybe she's feeling upstaged by Maxima? I mean, Maxima is W-A's wife but perhaps there is some tension there? Or it could be much less sinister than I paint it...maybe Maxima is giving Laurentien fashion tips.

Like Maxima's hat, btw.
