Hey, finally I see a picture of Friso before the hockeylook started, thanks Squidgy! (Marengo probably knows what I mean, we talked of it in another thread). He was actually quite good looking, indeed!

You are welcome
I love them too. It's great to see Beatrix and Claus together being in love, or as parents. :)

Hm, the princess and her husband asked a hedge as a present from the nation upon their wedding (as a paparazzi made a picture of them in the garden, which caused their relationship to leak out. Apparently the hedge still had to grow

and it was taken in my native town Katwijk, during Queensday 2000! That is the risk of visiting a sea-village, you have to eat raw herring.
Thanks for the pictures Princess Beatrix, again.

Yes, that's a great site, indeed! I visit it regularly since someone at TRF told me about it! :)
Marengo: the Queen visited my home town (Sittard) with Koninginnedag too. I think it was in 1994, but I'm not so sure. Could be 1995 too. If someone could find pictures of that day I would be so pleased! I looked all over for them, but never found anything. The city was decorated so nicely. The main street was all flags hanging out of buildings and there was a huge orange carpet on the street! And prince Claus winked at my little nephew. Soooo cute!
*Sigh, I'm getting old and nostalgic...*

I think these are pics from Sittard. At least that's what ANP says (and it is 1995). That's such a neat story Maxie, about your nephew. Does he remember being winked at by Claus or was he too young?
Trix is wearing another one of her wonderful creations!

Hey Squidgy, thanks so much! I must have been blind or something like that, because I'm quite sure I searched for them on ANP too! Oh well, whatever. I think I chose 1994!
I don't think my nephew remembers, btw. He was just 18 months old. He even was on national television. That was so funny. My grandmother hold him and they were broadcasted for about 10 seconds. When we were walking back to my grandmother's house, people were coming out of their houses and shouted: hey, you were on tv!
That really was hilarious... :)
Yes, that was one pretty and pink UFO the Queen was wearing, btw.

It does look like a UFO, you're right Maxie!! :)
What a great story your nephew has to tell his children some day! It's not every little child that got a wink from Claus. Your grandmother must have been pretty proud of her grandson that day.
