28-08-2009 Salland Queen Beatrix visited Salland in the province Overijssel.
The Queen visited the city of Dalfsen and estate 't Laer in Ommen.

August 29, 2009 - Den Oever Queen Beatrix visited the Fishingdays in Den Oever.
The Queen received the first copy of " Sailing, Fishing and Celebrating'' of the Wieringer fishing fleet.

HM will open the renovated Academy building of her Alma Mater,Leiden University tomorrow monday august 31st.

HM will receive HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on september 20th in Nijmegen as both attend the official remembrance of the liberation of Nijmegen 65 years ago to the day.

HM will accompany The Duke inspecting the Guard of Honour and after the ceremonies they will meet the veterans.

I'm very pleased that the Duke of Edinburgh is attending this event. However, can anyone shed some light as to why QEII will not be attending?

Oh,The Duke is Patron of the Veteran(s)-bataljon.That's the reason he is here and HM is not

But I am pleased to see him out and about still.

HM will hand-out the annual Prize for Free Painting at the Royal Palace,Amsterdam on october 9th.

It will be the first time after the re-opening and the extensive
renovatiopn the Palace will be in use for a official function again.
Thank goodness.

The Prize was founded by King Willem III and is the most prestigious for starting artists.

To HM,an acknowledged artist herself,this day is always one of the haydays of the year as she enjoys it so thoroughly.

HM,by Royal Decree of june 10th 2009,has bestowed the Honorary Cross in the House Order of Orange to mr.J.W.Leeuwenburg for
services rendered to the Royal House upon his leave as private secretary to TRH The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima.

mr.Leeuwenburg received the Order from HRH The Prince of Orange on september 3rd.

The ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt,Mr.Mahmoud Ahmed Samir Samy.
