HM The Queen has send congratulations by telegram to Ireen Wust and Sven Kramer for becoming Champions at the World Championships Allround Speed Skating at Hamar,Norway this past weekend.

HM Queen Beatrix will attend the Gala on occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Royal Theater Carré on april 3rd.The Gala was postponed in december due to the sudden death of actor Jeroen Willems who collapsed on the stage there during rehearsals for the jubilee performance.

HM hosted a farewell lunch at Huis ten Bosch Palace today for the Ambassador of Greece,HE Mr.John Economides.

On wednesday february 27th HM will receive the Credentials of TE:

The Ambassador of the Republique of Equatorial Guinea:Mr.Carmelo Nvono-Nca

The Ambassador of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Laos,Mrs Manorom Phonseya

The Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania,Dr.Diodorus Buberwa Kamala

Queen Beatrix attended the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the association Plattelands jongeren (country youth) and the opening of the photo exhibition '100 years of youth volunteering on the countryside Gelderland" in Toldijk today, March 1, 2013.

Although HM is lovely, she has aged quite a lot in the last year. I do hope retirement makes things easier on her.

I agree- she has aged a lot in the last year. It was so great to see her skiing and active at Lech. I wonder how much Prince Friso's tragedy has affected her health.

When HM arrived and walked to the entrance a bystander yelled long Live The Queen to which HM turned her head to thank and acknowledge the good man but by doing so tripped over the sidewalk and fell flat out.It must have hurt,with her artificial knee,but an Orange Nassau is just that so her face would never show.The mayor of Groningen and some bystanders helped HM immediatly on her feet again,after which HM assured all she was OK and commenced into the building...Goodness,she was lucky.
