Is that the same Kooijmans as the Kooijmans who was a minister for foreign affairs in the last cabinet of Prime Minister Lubbers. He became minister when Hnas van den Broek (father of Princess Marilene) became Eurocommisioner.

Yes he is.

At Huis ten Bosch Palace HM the Queen bestowed the honorairy medal for Art and Science on Paul van Vliet. He received the honour for his 'unique artistic carreer'.

I believe he is also a former university collegue of HM and he has performed for the RF on various occassions.

They studied law at the same time and have been close friends since.
Paul van Vliet also is a very committed ambassador to UNICEF since years.
