According to the German gossip press, Princess Beatrix is in love (yet again ;)). This time with a son of her aunt Simone of Lippe-Biesterfeld née Arnoux; mr. Thilo von Watzdorf. Princess Simone married fistly Vollrat von Watzdorf, with whom she had two sons. Her second marriage was to Prince Aschwin of Lippe-Biesterfeld, younger brother of Prince Bernhard.

Bunte claims to have a photo of the two in their paper edition, but failed to note the family connection. Let's assume that they are eager to see the princess happy - as are we all.

The hairdresser of Princess Beatrix, Ms Lisa de Groot, had an accident when arriving at a side-entrance leading to Drakensteyn Estate, the private retreat of the former Queen. A safety pin came up and rammed her car, to the shock of Ms De Groot and the two guards... A video from the security cam was leaked to media.

The video with the accident: video

Drakensteyn is the regular residence of the Princess, located in the province of Utrecht. She also has a mansion next (and connected) to Noordeinde Palace in The Hague, which serves as her residence when she is there.

Tomorrow evening HRH will open the exhibition of works by Rembrandt at the Vatican Museum,Vatican:" Images from Heaven and Earth".

HM Queen Silvia of Sweden will speech at the opening which should be seen in the light of the reformation.

Rembrandt was protestant as was his father, but his mother was Roman Catholic, resulting Rembrandt had his very own interpretation of Biblical stories.

A must see if you're in the neighbourhood I would say!!:flowers:

Nice to see Beatrix with all her grandkids. Just a sign that all the boys last generation was a fluke, reverted back to girls pretty quickly. Poor Claus, the only boy with two dusters and five girl cousins.

It looks like such a sweet and warming card. Friso and Constantijn's children have grown up a lot. Claus-Casimir really does look outnumbered though amongst all the girls!

Bea is looking good. Her coloring is so like my mother's, who got all beige colored and washed out sort of. I think she'd do well to go a tad darker on the hair - not much, but just so she's not beige from head to toe. lol I usually never give a critique like this, but it worked well for my mother.
