English Name: John Birth: 2 February 1455 at Aalborghus Castle Child of: Christian I and Dorothea of Brandenburg Reign: 1481-1513 (Denmark), 1483-1513 (Norway), 1497-1591 (Sweden) Marriage: 1478, Christina of Saxony Children: Hans, Ernst, Christian II, Franciscus, Jacob, and Elisabeth (Some sources mention a Knud instead of Jacob, Hans & Ernst) Death: 20 February 1513, at Aalborghus Castle. Buried in Odense. Throne passed to: Christian II Notes: Hans was the last male monarch not to be called Christian or Frederik.
