Christian's first wife was never queen. They divorced before he became king of Denmark but after she had given birth to the future king Frederik VII - the last king of the Oldenburg dynasty... Charlotte Frederikke moved to Rome after the divorce where she became a close friend of the famous danish artist Thorvaldsen. Charlotte Frederikke were exiled and divorced because of her affair with her music teacher. She said about herself that she had the face of an angel and the body of an frog!
