King Abdullah, King Fahd Open Talks
[1]Riyadh, March 6(Petra)-- His Majesty King Abdullah II held
talks on Sunday in Riyadh with Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdel Aziz and
Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz on means of enhancing
bilateral ties as well as the latest developments in the region.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed keenness
to promote bilateral relations to serve the interests of Jordanian
and Saudi peoples.
They also affirmed their support to efforts of the
Palestinian leadership to establish security, build institutions
that can shoulder responsibilities and establish an independent
viable Palestinian state. The two sides underlined the necessity of
supporting efforts that aim at pushing the peace process forward
including the Palestinian and Lebanese tracks.
His Majesty the King stressed the importance of activating
the Arab Peace Initiative, which was adopted in Beirut Summit, to
achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
King Abdullah also highlighted the necessity of exerting
efforts to rally support for efforts that aim at regaining security
and stability in Iraq, preserving its lands, and enabling its people
to chart their secure future.
On the other hand, the two sides expressed keenness to
ensure the success of the upcoming Arab summit, scheduled to be held
in Algiers. They also expressed hope that the Summit would come up
with resolutions that fulfill Arabs' aspirations in achieving
security, stability and welfare.
Talks were attended by HRH Prince Hashem Bin Al Hussein,
Prime Minister Faisal Fayez, Jordan's ambassador to Riyadh Quftan
Majali as well as a number of Saudi senior officials.

HRH Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz had earlier
hosted a lunch banquet in the honor of His Majesty King Abdullah II
and his accompanying delegation.

I really don't think anyone knows what courses he is taking. But you sure are ambitious so I guess youcould find out. Anyway I guess he does not do other activities for spring break like go to Miami, or cancun, or South Padre. But I guess that is good cuz ppl can do some crazy things down there. Also this shows his maturity adn sense of duty. He gets cuter every time. :)

Even though its great to see him involved in so many things for his country and I love seeing more pictures of him I'm still curious as to why he always wears traditional clothing while none of his other brothers do.

This is a paragraph out of an article posted by Salma on the KA & QR News thread about the king's visit to the US which starts today:
"The Monarch will also address a large academic audience at Georgetown University in Washington, where he attended the School of Foreign Service and where he is to be granted an honorary doctorate degree. King Abdullah spoke at Georgetown University's prestigious Centre for Contemporary Arab Studies in October 1999.

I'm sure that P. Hashim will be there.

Btw, is it Hashim or Hashem? I've seen it spelled both ways.

I believe either is fine, but in Queen Noor's book it is spellt Hashim

he does! I always thought that actually. Also, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad of Qatar has always reminded me of Jesus! ...when he is falconing, I think, "wow". :)

That's true, I think in the Royal Tour of Jordan video, they used Hashem. Petra, I belive, uses Hashem too, but since she's his mother, I would venture, she knows better what spelling to use for her son, tho like I said I think either spelling is fine since both are used

Yeah, that's what I thought. His mother should know, right? I'll just spell it Hashim from now on.

LOL, sounds like a plan to me. Indeed, who better than his mother to know about her son?

I agree Eliza, his mom would know better than anyone else. I am so jealous that I am not at Georgetown. It would be so interesting to see Abdullah and of course, the possibility of seeing Hashim on campus!

I am glad I don't go to Georgetown (although grad school there is a choice). It would be too much knowing that he was there and trying to get his attention. Way too much drama for me.
