I used to have an interview with her in a mag called"The First Lady",I'll search for it.
I remember that she said they were 6 sisters and her grandmother burst into tears when she was born because they wanted a boy. She got her education in London, Business or Management .She grew up in Jordan and knew King Hussein closely, she said he used to hug her whenever he sees her when she was little. The happiest day of her life is when King Hussein said "I want our daughter Alia for your son Faisal" which is a common saying in Arab countries. Whenever she speaks about King Hussein she gets tearful, remembers few of his quoets. About Faisal, she said he inherited a lot from his father, all of his sons did. She mentions that he is religious and prays the 5 prayers in the mousque. She also talks about Ayah describing her as a very mature child. I loved the part when she talked about Faisal teaching her on Rally and falying, she said he went to sleep on her first flight! Funny guy but that gave her confidence.
I can't recall the whole thing but it was good knowing a thing about this family, I'v been a fan for years and I never got to know anything about them.
A friend of mine, Jordanian, told me that it is a common known there that Alia didn’t want Faisal in the first place and she was forced into marrying him because they couldn’t say no to the king? How true is that? Any jo here that can assure?
