In Poland it's not permitted.

Maybe if Hashim has ever a son, he will call him Isa? (Arabic equivalent of "Jesus")
Prince Isa bin al-Hashim...It would sound nice.

I think she is a very special daughter since she was born at the year Queen Noor turns 60 years old.

Ya I like both names but I don't see that they go with each other as one name it's not like her sister's name raiyat alnoor, or halat alnoor these two compound names have meaning when you put them together( who ever speak Arabic will understand what I am talking about) (Almost all Arabic names have meanings, Arabs don't name their kids just like that, they care about the meaning of the name and how the will impact the person), but the new born's name Fatima Alalia !! I don't, it sounds not right to my ear!!

that what I was thinking of when I read the name, that he named her after Fatima Alzahra, Prophet Muhammad's daughter

Congrats to Hashem & Fahdah!

Apart from the a-a-a-sounding, Fatima per se is a very nice name.

The name Fatima is not only a cherished name for Muslims, but also for Catholics, because of Our Lady of Fatima, who appeared in Portugal in 1914. So, in countries where Portuguese is the main language, it is very used. And Jesus is a name that is used in many Latin countries.,as well.

I think PH & PF added "al-alia" to their daughter name because she was also born on the day of Arafa "9th Dhul hijja" according to the Islamic calender ..

Fatima is the name of the Prophet`s daughter peace be upon him .. Al-alia in arabic means the high, lofty & sublime .. Fatima Al-alia because she was born on the holy day of Arafa the main day of Muslim hajj pilgrimage.

Aqiqah ceremony varies from country to another according to the Islamic Mazhab (Madhhab) followed by it`s people & their traditions. Sorry!! i dont know about Saudi Arabia but usually it is on the 7th day after birth.
