He is adorable.
Why is Alexandre using the last name Coste and not Grimaldi? Why is Jazmin using it and Alex is not?

I think both cases were quite different.
The mother had changed Yasmin's name by adding Grimaldi.
I believe that would not have been possible in the case of Alexandre.

Jazmin was born in the US, and Tamara could and did list Albert on the birth certificate as well as put Grimaldi on it.
LadyMac can confirm.

The birth certificate was posted here in 2006. In many states including CA you can give your child any last name you want as Tamara gave Jazmin the Grimaldi name. About Albert's name being on the birth certificate. Albert had to have agreed to it or she filed a paternity suit which she did (except the case was dismissed) and a DNA tests proved he was the father (which it did) and it was legally added.
The original birth certificate was done March 13, 1992 and was amended May 31, 2006 which is likely when Alberts name was added.
We discussed why Alexandre had the name Coste and not Grimaldi. Nicole wanted to change their names and decided on Coste dropping the La of Lacoste which is Alberts attorneys last name. Alex was born Éric Alexandre Stéphane Tossoukpé. His name was changed to Alexandre Éric Stéphane Coste on November 10, 2004 and Nicole changed her name at the same time. I have to take a guess that Albert wouldn't give permission for Alex to use the Grimaldi last name. Alberts name was added to the birth certificate a few months after he was born.

Well, there is really no way to know how he treats his kids but I hope he is proud and I hope that he loves them and shows them that and that it does not matter to him how they came to be because it not their fault but his and their mothers.
I also hope Prince Albert at least called Jazmin before her graduation from high school to congragulate her etc and maybe they talked about it before and it was agreed that it would best that he not attend. I hope he does attend the ceremony when she finishes college.
And who knows, the two could have a great and close relationship and the public just does not know it. I hope that is the case actually.

Isn't the Daily Mail a tabloid and not very reliable?

The Mail is definitely a tabloid, specialising in celeb reporting.
It's having a field day because of the riot coverage...
A typical headline: "Cuddling in the kennels? Affair claim as vet's assistant drops sex harassment case against her boss."
Or: "Wilderness, water and 400 SEX DOLLS: Russia hosts worlds weirdest river race"
I trust you get the picture .....

The Mail also said Sarkozy and Carla attended the civil wedding which is not true. The President attended the religious service but Carla was nowhere to be seen. They also referred to the Princes Palace as the Presidential Palace so I would not take this artice as gospel.

Understood. Thanks everyone. I was hoping this MIGHT be true. Ya know I understand not inviting or having Alexandre there as he is only seven but Jazmin is a grown woman and can make her own decisions--- she can deal!
If he excluded her without consulting her, then that says something about him and it's not at all good. He should have been proud to have his super smart and pretty daughter there IF he did not consult her first that is.

If Jazmin had been there the journalists would have noticed immediately and it would have stolen the bride and groom thunder !

I just saw some video footage and I think there is a picture of Prince Albert holding Jazmin has a toddler and him giving her a kiss. He knew about Jazmin and that she was his long before she was 12 and 14.

American Observer, I remember that occasion where Tamara held her daughter up to PA when she was still a baby.

This photo that was posted 9-29-05 by me is one of several. She followed him to Cody, WY trying to get him to acknowledge Jazmin.

I just hope Prince Albert is making the effort and calling her to say hello, checking in etc and not ignoring Jazmin.

Honestly we might never know unless the parties involved (Albert and/or Jazmin) decide to let us know. And really its none of our business.
Jazmin could have been born in better circumstances (marriage, recognized from birth, heir to Monaco) and even with all of that she could be ignored in the Palace. For all intents and purposes, from what we know, she had a happy childhood with a mother who loved her, unlike many kids in the world, she has had food, a roof over her head and a secure childhood.

You are right Zonk. And if he is not making the effort or not enough of one, then it is Prince Albert who is losing here. From what I have read Jazmin is an awesome young lady and the Prince has every reason to be proud of her and he should be. And he needs to show that if he is not doing so now.

Exactly.
If Albert chooses not to be a part of his children's life than its his loss. It bothers me to know end those parents who choose NOT to be a part of their children's life because of money, busy schedule or whatever. Just as it annoys me for those parents who because of parental alienation can't see their kids. Unless of course, they haven't bonded or clicked. It happens...not everyone is paternal or maternal.
Either way, Albert doesn't have to show us anything regarding his kids.
