This thread is about the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, founded by the Prince himself.

The French name of the Foundation is "Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco".

The Foundation's website(s):

www.princealbertfoundation.org

www.fondationprincealbertiidemonaco.net

You can subscribe to the Foundation's quarterly Newsletter by email. Previous newsletters can be downloaded from the website.

One can also access the Foundation's offices in Germany, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and of course Monaco.

The website also contains a range of video clips about the work of the Foundation.

On Saturday October 10th, 2009, Prince Albert will preside at the annual Foundation Award Ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum.

Three award winners are selected each year and will receive a trophy and prize money of 40 000 Euros.

In 2008, the winners were Alain Hubert (climate change), Jane Goodall (biodiversity)
and Sunita Narain (desertification).

I don't understand why Caroline and Stephanie don't attend these events.

I started this thread so that Albert's own environment foundation is reported separately on this forum.

There already is a thread for the Prince Pierre awards with Caroline as President, and I started a new one on the Ballets de Monte-Carlo.

Stephanie has threads about Fight Aids Monaco and her specialism regarding the Circus and Magicians.

Each of them have their specialisms or "departments":
Albert with the environment
Caroline with AMADE and the Arts
Stephanie with AIDS, the circus, magic, and developing countries.

There have been occasions where two siblings have attended the same event, as happened a little while ago when PC and PS supported the same project in Africa.

There are many occasions where at least two or three of them join together!

A Courageous Voice For A Greener China

A shrewd move, I think, on behalf of the PA2 Foundation to help bring China "in from the cold", especially in view of the imminent Copenhagen summit on Climate Change, where both China and India will be "in the frame".....

In both sets of photographs, no one could have complained about cleavages or otherwise. It proves that Charlene does know about decorum.

Nice to see that PA met John B. Kelly, a relative.

PA quoted his mother on how to help: "Trust your instincts...", help where you can....

This is the REUTERS article about the fundraiser event on Oct. 22nd, 2009:

Yet another multinational project: "La Planète revisitée" - the Planet revisited.

Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco

It's a re-run of the great nature expeditions from previous centuries -
except that, this time around, the expeditions will serve to create a massive Inventory of Biodiversity !!

The objective is to speed up the discovery of new species.
The number of species is estimated as betwen eight and thirty millions.
But only 1.8 million are known to us.
