For Albert, Charlene and their children, they live in the palace, they have their private appartmnts( we saw on the instagram of P Charlene the private salon where the family with Jacques and Gabriella received Mgs Barsi

From May to october, all the family is living in Roc Agel

And they sometimse passed their christmas holiday or easter holiday at the chateau de Marchais.

One of the interviews with Albert for the book Albert II de Monaco l’homme et le Prince take place at his appartment in Paris.

He tells that he took over his father’s appartment that is close to where his old appartment was, rue Eugène-Delacroix (16th arrondisement)
Stepanie had an appartment on the same floor for many years. Albert joined both appartments and now owns the entire floor.

I checked Getty. Wherever they spend the holiday - it is not covered with press events. They disappear after the big children's gifting at the palace.

Sometimes, they are spending christmas at the chateau of Marchais but very often, they are in holidays , the palace never says where they will go, last year they were in the caraibes on a ship also the paparazzi made some photos, but Albert and Charlene like to keep secret their holidays

There is a photo when they arrived at the aeroport Grenadine, I am surprised to see that all the family is in the same plane, usually, in other monarchies, the heir and the king or queen is not travelling in the same plane, Princess grace travelled with P Albert and stephanie Prince Rainier travelled with P Caroline

I've always got the impression that the Monaco royals have Christmas in Monaco/Roc Agel or at the Chateau Marchais. In interviews Albert has given over the years he has implied this and then they take a break somewhere hot in January like a lot of other rich people.

Are you talking about the Palace as their main residence?

He surely owns other residences, for example, it seems that Charlene and the children basically live at Roc Agel (not sure whether it is formally in Monaco or in France). However, because Monaco is so small, several of their residences are in the neighboring country of France. It seems Albert has an apartment in Paris, there is Chateau Marchais and it seems they have another bolt-hole in the south of France as that is where they spent some time this summer.

Edit: the Bolt-hole is in the village of Roubion.

The domain surrounding the Château de Marchais in Picardie (North of France, bordering Belgium) is bigger in square kilometres than the whole Principauté de Monaco.

Rainier and Grace bought the property ' Roc Agel ' jyst before the Birth of Caroline
It belongs to Prince Albert now, in spring aroung march to october, the princely couple and princely twins are living at Roc Agel

Though slightly cooler it's likely more simply as a retreat from the city. Like the queen going to Balmoral.

Not sure what being blonde has to do with temperature. But Charlene was born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa. And their summer temperatures are higher then Monaco though not exceptionally higher. She was certainly no stranger to warmer clients when she moved to Monaco.

Monte-Carlo is directly at the Méditerranée, there is always a sea breeze. The buildings are constructed for the climate: the palais princier has a large inner court, surrounded with traditional galleries (at the palais in expensive but cool marble) giving a fresh shade. (It is where the princely wedding took place).

And of course: anno 2020, air-conditioning systems and fancy cool swimmingpools are everywhere. The heat in Monte-Carlo is mostly a dry heat. Only so now and then the humid version which feels like a damp cloud hanging over the place.


It would surprise me if Charlène is not able to live in that little paradise because of the heat.

I would assume the Princes Palace in Monaco as its the Official Residence of the Sovereign Prince when in Monaco.
