Ever since Prince Frederik of Denmark got engaged, we've all been a little bit concerned about our Albie.

This thread is to put your minds at ease.

As the pictures will demonstrate, our Albert has NO problems with the ladies. It's not a matter of finding a wife, no for him, it's a matter of CHOOSING which lucky lady will be the next Princess of Monaco.

Have fun...

In a TV special on A&E several that was done several years ago, Albert's aunt Lizanne (Pss Grace's sister) said that Albert had been very, very serious about a girl when was at university but for some reason he did not marry her. She was apparently the love of his life up to that point.

Albert doesn't have to get married today, tomorrow or even next week. I think he will marry when he finds the right person. He may never find the right person and if he doesn't marry then he doesn't marry.

does anyone have any info on prince albert & the paternity suit in california and pics of the girl?? also does anyone have any pics or info on his celebrity softball game with regis philbin in 96.jen

I don't think Albert is gay I do think he is certainly bi-sexual. As I have said before, this does not make him unfit to rule or less of a good man.

Albert certainly enjoys the company of women as associates and as lovers. There would be no reason for him to seek out the company of private women for sexual encounters (they no one would ever know about) if he were gay he could just as easily seek out men only. So, he likes both.

Albert said he came close to marriage twice and the women were scared off by the life they would have had to lead.

The succession needed to be changed prior it was in the best interest of France now it is in the best interest of Monaco - which is how it should be. Even if Albert had 10 kids I think the succession would have been changed anyway.

BTW, Alicia Warlick has her own website aliciawarlick.com I don't think she is princess material. She looks very masculine to me.

I would just say two things -
One - Alicia is an Olympic pole vaulter - so she is allowed to have muscles

Two - If my pickup line was "Hi, I'm Prince Albert" and I had hot models throwing themselves at me, EVEN in my 40s...I wouldn't get married either!!! Why not wait until they stop to get married!!! Sounds like fun to me! :innocent:

I thought I would bump this thread up since its about Albert and his female friends and we have lots of space to chatter since the other thread should be getting closed. Source was babe focus but would suggest anyone who blushes easy to not visit the sight its definately for men. Her scores weren't to hot btw her high was for this picture of a 5.5 the others rated her at 3 and 4.
The current topic of discussion.

There has been over a hundred views of this thread since I bumped it up and posted Charlenes picture and no comment's thats not normal for this Forum. Now that I have posted a few pictures my jealous side showing (wish I was 28 again) but I wouldn't want to be her. All Alicia ever said in regards to dating Albert was she enjoyed his company and she won points with the press for her answer as being Princess like she never admitted to being his lover. Charlene's life away from Albert will now change and I am sure he warned her of it once they were seen in public together. Could be she is also trying to make a claim I am his girlfriend.

Hello -- The residents of Monaco were no doubt interested to see their monarch escorting a pretty blonde to the celebrations. Prince Albert, who was sporting a red ski cap to protect him from the chilly weather, was seen laughing and joking with 23-year-old South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock. At one point the Monegasque royal showed his playful side by holding a torch below his chin in a moment of mock horror.

Both Alicia and Charlene are very plain in my opinion.

charlene is a very beautiful woman! maybe she´s the right for the prince.we´ll see!

I do not understand why the publicity/media would be a problem with Mary W. . It seems with all of her medals and competitions, she would have been used to the public. Besides, she choose a broadcasting career in the public eye. Perhaps, there was more to it than just the public pressure.

Alicia looks really beautiful in the above picture. She doesn't look attractive at all in the public pictures she took woth Prince Albert.

In a huge portion of the Olympic pictures, Charlene is posing/staring straight at the cameras. She seems to be performing for the cameras. Time will tell.

Trust me it's different when you are dating someone like him.

It has to be different...the media isn't interested in your accomplishments, i.e, your public life, but your private life and that can destroy any relationship. Look at a lot of the celebrity marriages that break up so quickly after being the media's darlings, the perfect couple, etc. IMO, the secret to having a relationship with someone like PA is to fly under the radar much as I hate to admit it, like Nicole did. From what I remember from my reading about Grace et Rainier was that most of their courtship was done via correspondence and done privately -- most people, including close friends, were not aware of the relationship until they announced their engagement. If Albert is truly interested in keeping his private life private, he should function in much the same way. For such a smart guy, it boggles my mind how he fails to see how he gets himself in such situations.

BTW, have there been many more sightings of the PA & CW??

But, didn't Nicole fly under the radar because PA didn't take her to high profile public events as he did Alicia, Tasha, and others? It didn't seem like he was protecting her from the public, more like indicating she was not "socially acceptable" to be seen on his arms as the other two. From what we now know of Nicole, I'm sure it must have bothered her immensely to see Albert on magazine covers and featured in weekly stories about his "angels" which didn't include her. I think most of her media engagements were due to her yearning to be officially recognized as Albert's girlfriend.

I doubt that Albert was courting Nicole as Ranier court Grace. To "court" someone is to engage in (social) activities that lead to marriage. I doublt if anyone believe that Albert desired to marry Nicole. Even she said (and she comes across as very haughty and proud) that he never even told her he loved her.

I really like Prince Albert, but I must admit that his choice in women is very telling of his character.

But they were together for five years...European men don't bandy around the phrase "I love you" as freely as American men do. PA took her to semi-official events and even introduced her to Rainier. I've read that PA has camera ready gf's and "real" gf's. NC was his mistress. I don't think he ever "courted" Nicole in the traditional sense either and no one really knows what has been happening in the six years since PA met CW...but there were other serious gf's. It's this "recycling" thing that gets me...someone should send him a copy of the book, It's Called a Break-up Because It's Broken.

BTW do you recall Pinky what I said in another thread you responded to happening this year? I made the post if you look before anyone knew about Charlene. Lets see what happens. Another BTW due to protocol Albert has to know the woman would say yes to his proposal unless he decides to break it, a dowry is generally required as well.

Sorry about the French thing. I forget that not everyone speaks it. My bad.

I remember something vaguely -- but I can't remember what post -- that this lady will come out of the blue. Do her parents or Charlene have that kind of money? His mother's dowry came 1/2 from her father (which actually paid for the wedding since MC was pretty broke at the time) and 1/2 from her -- it was $2mm in '56 so I'm thinking now it's something like $10mm. OK, now I'm really sick to my stomach thinking about all of this.

Why would a dowry be required, since Albert certainly doesn't need the money?
And how can he know if the woman would say yes until he asks her?

The dowry is considered part "keeping" a wife: clothing, personal expenses, etc., e.g, tradition. That's how princes in the past knew the prospective bride (or rather her parents) would say yes: parents/councilors would have set the terms for the dowry. I'm thinking something about the government not supporting the lifestyle of the couple.

I don't know why Albert would require a certain amount now, although as part of the negotiations between Rainier and Grace & her father, MC required $2mm and in the case of a divorce, the funds were not returnable. At that time Monaco had a bit of a cash flow problem. Jack Kelly went ballistic but finally agreed to $1m (primarily the cost of the wedding) and Grace paid $1m from her own funds. Mr. Kelly also kept a stock portfolio for Grace and all of her siblings with Kelly for Brickwork holdings. At the time of his death in the early 60's, Jack Kelly's personal holdings were estimated at $5m.

In any relationship, you'd hope the subject of marriage (to each other) would come up before the guy buys the ring.

If Albert stays with protocol someone will have to approach the woman he wants to ask to learn the answer. If she said no to whoever spoke to her than he wouldn't ask. Grace was asked before Rainier asked her. Pinklady is correct on the dowry Albert isn't staying with tradition really and might not require one.

MyAdia-There's so much stuff to read-one can't possibly read all of it. But I did read an NC interview in the early months where she said she was told PR knew about the child and she wanted Alex to get to know his grfather. There was a lot of serious stuff going on and they had their reasons for telling her that. I thought in all fairness I should tell you because you felt so serious about it.

This is what was published in The Express. Also, something similar was mentioned in the Paris Match article.

*************************

Here’s my translation (my French is rudimentary):

But, for the former flight attendant, money is not everything. She especially wants to avoid that her son is not raised in the shadow, like a bastard who they endow to hide him better. She absolutely wants that Alexander can meet his grandfather as quickly as possible. « A set idea, which turned into an obsession », explains a close friend of Albert's. This is precisely what the future sovereign wants to avoid. Letters, accompanied with photographs, are sent to the palace, but they will never reach the destination. The mother would even have been turned away by the nurses of the Rock. In this delicate political context, where the sovereign is seriously ill, the birth of a natural child would necessarily pose a delicate problem of succession. The reactions of Rainier, scalded by the reckless adventures of his daughters, remain unpredictable.
*******************
So, based on this interview, Nicole was dead set on Rainier knowing about Alexandre, including even going down to the Palace. Remember, it was Nicole who said that Albert cooled down their relationship once Rainier met her at a dinner. So, I think a lot of her action was out of spite. She must have felt humiliated to be rejected like that bby her boyfriend's father (and Albert didn't stand up for her either, but shewas already in love with him after the first date). So, do you believe she was sending HER family pictures of Alexandre so Alexnadre could get to know them as she was sending Rainer. This woman was determine to ingratiate herself in this family. How many mothers do you know would want to bring their 1-year old child in an empty chapel to see a dead old man (who he has never seen before) in a casket as she did when she begged Albert to let her come to the funeral (but the closest she got was to see Rainer’s body in the Palace chapel). I think Nicole so desperately wanted that “wave from the balcony” moment. She stated in this interview and in the Paris Match interview that she still loved Albert and even asked him to have sex with her, even after he told her to have an abortion, did not come to see the baby in the hospital, and did not see him until months later. I am sorry, but Nicole is one calculating and desperate woman who got the best of of a prince. I wonder if she is really happy now.

After reading that, I just feel sorry for her. I don't see the calculating NC that many see. . .although I think she definitely had some delusions about her son being acknowledged as a Grimaldi. Even though Alex is a cutie pie, it's just sad to bring kids into these unhappe situations. Money is not everything so I hope that PA will take (is taking) time to get to know his son.
