I quite agree about Sarah's tiara being quite a jackpot! It's absolutely lovely in it's design. The kind of tiara which would probably look great on any woman. So I'm really looking forward to Eugenie wearing it (assuming that she does).

Sarah's tiara is a jackpot of sorts; a tangible reminder of a very low period for the Monarchy.

Maybe in retrospect or hindsight considering later things that occurred but it was not a low period at the time of Andrew & Sarah's wedding.

At least Andrew and Fergie have the most civil divorce ever.

If the Cambridges can start their married life with a ring that came from a marriage that ended in 'war of the Wales', I don't think Eugenie will be concerned her mother's tiara was a 'wedding gift' for a failed marriage.

Sarah and Andrew will identify many positives that came of their union. Some of the best in the form of two lovely daughters.
The York Tiara is attractive.

She might like to distance herself from "all of that" and wear an historic tiara that accentuates her Royal heritage.

There is no way she will be able to distance herself nor should she try. She and Beatrice had a wonderful childhood and the sure and certain knowledge they were loved by both parents. The media and the DM, in particular, is going to make a meal of Sarah up to and including the wedding and sadly there is nothing anyone can do except hold on to the family.

Sarah's tiara isn't jinxed anymore than Catherine's engagement ring is and the feeling that Eugenie has for that tiara is probably the same as that which Catherine has to her engagement ring . . . my life is what I make it.

IMO Eugenie has a classically beautiful face and is someone who would look divine in a bandeau style tiara - few would, IMO, but she could carry it off, so part of me hopes she’ll wear one as the QM did. She’d look lovely in any or all of them, so I suppose it’s really down to which she likes best. The York tiara is a favorite of mine, so I wouldn’t mind seeing it again either.

Eugenie has a wide chin, so I don't think the bandeau would flatter her.
She could do with something that has more height.

She can easily carry off her mother's tiara (style)...and look great in it.

Total agreement. I now believe that Sarah was/is not Royal material, but that she and Andrew made a true love match that turned out two emotionally stable kids can't be overlooked, imo. I commend them for that.

I remember the York wedding well, and it was the happiest of Royal weddings with a spirit of real optimism, joy and romance oozing from the bridal couple.

I know we all think it will be the York tiara for Eugenie but looking at this picture - wow - the lotus flower tiara would be really supporting the lookalike features of Eugenie and QM Elizabeth:

Yes Eugenie would look good wearing several tiaras...but the York will look lovely on her.

Eugenie is even less likely to get a new tiara then Meghan. The wedding will be really the only time she needs it. She will either wear her mother's or the queen will loan her one IMO.

But lovely tiara.

I can't imagine she won't wear the York tiara.

IS there any chance she can wear the strathmore rose and exactly as her great-grandmother wore it famously (on the forehead)? Eugenie looks so much like her. Imagine the image that would make! It would fit with Eugenie's fashion sense, too... vintage along with modern, unique, classy but eclectic. And really..... damn. Eugenie looks so much like the 1920s/30s Duchess of York, it's crazy.

If the tiara is in good enough condition to wear, yes. It belongs to the queen and no reason to think she won't loan her granddaughter a tiara.

Fergie only owns one tiara. Her daughters are members of the royal family. People who point Eugenie didn't wear a tiara to a recent event forget in the Uk women don't wear them till married traditionally.

She does look a lot like the queen mum. And the tiara would suit her worn on her forehead. I would love a dress inspired by that era.
