:previous: Not a fans of this and still prefer the sapphire ?, I think it is the type of tiaras that need darker stones. Always think pearls are gentle and soft, while the design of that tiara is quite "fierce" to me. [-]And I kind of hate that pearl set.[/-] :bang:

Here is a little try (inspired from duke of poliganc's post :flowers:).

Just turn all sapphires into rubies. The rubies are a bit magenta but I am too lazy to edit it again:D. Maxima always looks good in red. Seriously I think most of the coloured stones will look good with this piece.

It is a really fun thread ?.

Emeralds would be great, the Dutch do need a "serious" emerald tiara in their collection.

:previous: Agree. I love their emerald, but still hope they have a more substantial emerald tiara (even though they already have a massive collection). They have a "serious" sapphire, some "serious" ruby, a "serious" pearl and a "very very very serious" diamond tiara, why don't you get a "serious" emerald to complete your collection:p.

Emerald version of the Mellerio: https://imgur.com/a/0ciIQ2D (it looks like peridot rather than emerald but her brown eyes go well with green stones!)

Maxima in Duchess of Angoulême's Emerald Tiara: https://imgur.com/a/P25yLwK (This one probably is my favourite emerald among the unseen/unused tiaras)

Fantastic!

Realistically, the most "achievable" option is the Mellerio ruby tiara and necklace made alterable to have emeralds as well. Acrually if that happened, perhaps the parure could be used with turquoise as well.

I would say it could be used with any type of stones ?. It only needs a couple of small stones (six for the tiara I think?). Compared to other pieces (for example the sapphire Mellerio which needs a row of substantial stones) probably it is easier to obtain a new set of stones for this tiara. Similar to Fabiola's Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara, the coloured stones are not the main focus of the pieces, which makes it compatible to all kind of stones.

I think the Dutch court jewelers (or who works for them) are doing a brilliant job on jewels alterations as we have seen, it is not a difficult job for them (the most difficult part maybe is to get the new stones).
