I think some are reading too much into the minimalist style. Meghan does minimalist well in everyday life. Simple lines, and not a lot of print. However, she wows when it’s time to wow. And if there is ever a time to wow, it’d be her wedding. I just have a faint suspicion in the back of my mind that people who thinks she’ll go with barely there is going to be wrong on this. And while the SR is a pretty tiara, I think it just looks silly with all the flowers once you are past a certain age.
I think you are right about Meghan's minimalist style being her everyday style... because - that engagement gown was not minimalist. It had beading and embroidery on the bodice and a gorgeous pin-ruffled skirt in tulle.
I think - like you said - just because someone is a minimalist in their everyday clothing, it doesn't mean they don't know how to bring the drama for more formal occasions.
And if Vanity Fair is correct, Meghan's gown has hand beading - the SR may well go with the gown she chose.
At this point, I'm just hoping she actually wears a tiara. I don't want to hear the speculation about why she doesn't have one if she doesn't. Plus, I just really want to see her in a tiara. I hope that if she was thinking of not wearing one, someone gracefully talked her out of it. Like Joan Rivers said, "It's your wedding. This is your [one] chance to be a Princess. Don't blow it."
I mean - I know it's not her only chance, lol - but it's her BIGGEST one and I for one wanna see a TIARA!
