In my opinion a wedding gown is not much good to Harry. Unlike an expensive piece of jewellery it can't be given to a future fiancée. I doubt whether his bride will want to wear it at their wedding either. About the only thing Harry will be able to do with it is put it on display in future at Kensington Palace. I hope Diana's jewellery collection was divided more equably.

I've heard it I don't know how many times, and read, that Harry had posession of the ring but the boys had an agreement that whoever got engaged first got to use the ring.

Well.. It can be used in exhibitions and such, and therefore bring him money? I don't know :P

I think that was the story the media ran with before the will became public. But I don't know for sure.

William talked about the ring during their engagement interview....I don't remember what all he said about it except the part about how he carried it around for awhile and worried about losing it.

Yeah, I think that was about it. That he had it in his backpack and knew that if he lost it he would be in really big trouble.

I've always wondered who the friends were with them in Africa to which Kate refers. And if they told those friends? Or if the friends noticed anything.

Please keep in mind that this thread is about future jewels for the Duchess of Cambridge. The discussion about engagement can be continued in the Cambridge forum.

Hasn't The DOC recently worn the late Queen Mothers earrings? Perhaps we will see more jewellery being reworn by her?

I've always heard that Harry inherited the bulk of Diana's jewels, because she reasoned that William's wife would have a vast store to choose from, and so Diana wanted to even things out a bit.

That claim was made by the media before the will was released. They also claimed that Diana left Harry a much larger portion of her fortune for the same reason. Once the will became public showing an equal divide for her two sons the media quickly backtracked from their previous false stories.

In England last will and testaments become public property that one can buy a copy off.

It won't be surprised if more of the Queen mother's jewels will be seen on Kate. Much of it still lies in storage unused since her passing, the Queen obviously has no interest (and need) to wear all of her mother's jewels. So it makes sense to make more of it available for Kate.

And I wish that Kate would start to wear som her brooches. The other day most royal ladies pinned their poppies with the help of brooches, only Kate didn't.

Didn't Sophie pin it with a regiment pin though? That feels a bit different than how the queens did it. I think Kate will only wear broches when it's called for as in symbols. Brooches is not a very young thing nowdays and it doesn't feel very Kate. I hope she starts playing with brooches in other ways though. Like useing them as pendants or in the hair. I think that when/if get's a regiment of her own that she will sstart wearing their pin to military events.

Hidden British Royal Tiaras | The Court Jeweller

Would love to see Catherine wear some of these tiaras. It's too bad we have not seen these in years.
