Good stuff! Yep, yep, I guess it's good that M-C isn't the CPss of a reigning house...she wouldn't know what to do if she were suddenly forced into royal duties she has no idea how to do. It still annoys me how...ugh she is. Ack, can't think of a word...That's great what Cristina did! M-C should look to better CPss role models...Diana of Wales for one. Crazy, she was super good...the Peoples' Princess. Haha, join the CPss M club...Marry a CP, change your name to an "M" one, then we'll talk

Even if she isn't a CP of a reigning house, she can still do good things. Most people do wonderful things for their organizations and not just for the publicity! Look at anybody who volunteers at hospitals or at food banks, etc. M-C seems like she only cares for the publicity.
Very right, moosey60. If Marie-Chantal really wanted to help others, there are hundreds of ways she could - if she wasn't after publicity for herself. I once read that before she was married and had kids, Infanta Cristina spent several months working as a nurse's aid (or something to that effect) for a charitable organization in Guatemala, which had been hit by some sort of a natural disaster. Because she wasn't performing many royal duties at the time, when asked about her, the King and Queen simply said that the Infanta was taking some personal time. There are no pictures of Infanta Cristina's stint as a "nurse" and hardly much mention of her important contributions at that time, so it goest to show you that it can be done if you are doing it for the right reasons.
I think that MC doesn't have the personality capacity to do those princessly things. Since she won't even deal with her own children at lunch time (according to insiders she has to have a nanny there before she will even sit down to eat), how could she possibly go walk through a landmine zone, hold a sick person's hand, or build habitats. She'd be afraid that her hair would get messed up or that she couldn't dress to a T.
And the story about the Miller family on vacation that time in Bali-when MC offered to drive next door (a few yards) to fetch some champagne. :woot: Yeah, this lady isn't doing ANYTHING except for herself.

so she was raised a spoiled 'princess' and was only missing the title? obviously no one told her the title held responsibilties.

Hmmm..she's like a worse version of the personality Mary Donaldson seems to "have". Didn't she set out specifically to meet a prince? Merm...haha, she had to drive a few yards to fetch champagne? Gee, I guess she didn't want to scuff her pretty little $10,000 Prada shoes.

I haven't seen any at all. If there was one it would probably be on the official Greek royal family site, but there's not one that I know of.

I remember reading an article about the Infanta Cristina near the time of her marriage and the article said she worked at a nurse anonymously. The Infanta Cristina's seems like such a nice and caring lady.

Marie-Chantal is certainly very beautiful. It's unfortunate that she doesn't have a character to match. Do you think that she will eventually be divorced from Prince Pavlos?

I don't think so. They look as though they do care deeply about each other. Also, they are both so tied to one another (he with her wealth, her with his title and status) that it would be to both their detriment if they divorce.

Little Maria-Olympia is very cute but Pavlos looks a little unhappy?? Or annoyed maybe. Thank you for the link, Martine!

After looking at her kids-clothes-collections...I´ve to admit that I think almost everybody on this board could design the same. We just need a princess- title to ennoble (...and sell) our collections :P
BTW Mary-Olympia looks older to me than just seven (rather like 9) on the Point de Vue-pics.

..The success of cloth-kid collection is to look average!!The secret is on the quality of fabrics ,the quality of the stiches, colours etc, etc. This is where MC design is targetin on ,Lena....

Now we could discuss what is average. I think kids clothes should look cute, not boring, but shouldn´t embarrass the kid with too much falderal. And looking at MC clothes...that doesn´t live up my standards. It´s just tooooo boring. And talking about quality...all designers claim that their clothes are of better quality than others. But out of my personal experience I have to say that expensive designer-wear isn´t always of better quality than cheaper one. And we are talking of kids....probably they won´t fit in such a summer dress longer than just one season!

As far as I can see,MC clothe's design is more to 'what the kids need ' for every day life, and leisure!! Her Clothes are very convenient for the kids,(always one size up becouse the kids grow rapidly)the fabrics are of the best (becouse the kid plays and swets).the choice of colours and the quality of colours is very well picked an dedected,in order to avoid future allergies,to create an average taste of dressing to the growing child,so when he grows,He/she wouldn't have to develope taste in clothing as ofBoy -George in a concert !!! :woot:

i think the clothes she designs are a bit oldfashioned , i don't like kids wearing mini grown up clothes , but her collection is too conservative i think. and a bit snobbish too.

just my opinion , it's probably a matter of taste
