Prince Rainier had one of the largest stamp collections in the world, so I thought it would be interesting to post pictures of stamps from Monaco in which members of the Grimaldi family appear.

Wow!!!! it´s the first time i see stamps of the family!!. I like that of Ranier and Grace
Thanks!

There is a site that has many of the stamps of Monaco I just don't recall the name at the moment to post it will look or perhaps someone else might recall it.

The stamp of Caroline's birth doesn't show very accurately Princess Grace. Glad you liked the topic :)

Thnaks LadyMacAlpine, I'll look at them later today to add more stamps :)

I think your right. Her profile seems a little off.
Her cheekbones don't seem high enough.
Either way it's a wonderful stamp & thank you for sharing!

Indeed it's a beautiful stamp which was inspired by the Karsh photo of Princess Grace shortly after she got married. I'm glad you liked it ;)

The stamp of princess Stephanie is rather odd. I'm surprised at her hairstyle in it :)

It shows her attending 1999's Red Cross Ball, but I somehow don't like how they depicted her facial expression.

The 1.11 € value is a Bazzoli/Slania design, but NOT ENGRAVED by Slania. The stamp is printed in offset and is 40*30 mm horizontal as shown below. The stamp commemorates the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Irish Library.

Monaco 1993. Souvenir sheet at the occasion of Monaco's membership of the United Nations, the 28th May 1993. All stamps are high value stamps and show from left: The Emblem of the United Nations, Prince Rainier III of Monaco, and the Princely Coat of Arms of Monaco. Please note that Czeslaw Slania has only engraved the stamp in the middle, showing Prince Rainier, which is one of a large definitive series of several surface values. The other two stamps were done by Jumelet

1998. 150th birth anniversary of Prince Albert I (1848-1922).

Thank you what can I say I have a thing for beautiful stamps. Monaco has others that are just as beautiful. Some of the sites I got the photos from. http://slaniastamps.heindorffhus.dk/frame-MonacoChron06.htm

I haven't noticed Stephanie among any of these stamps. Has she never appeared on one?

I haven't found any of her yet or would have posted it. If I do I will.

I already posted one of these but want to show them together.
In 1993, the USA and Monaco simultaneously released a commemorative postage stamp honoring her. However, USA federal law forbids postage stamps depicting foreign heads of state, so the USA stamp listed her as "Grace Kelly", while the Monaco stamp listed her as "Princess Grace".

A U.S. postage stamp [Scott#2749] was issued 24 March 1993 in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of her death. The stamp is a joint issue with Monaco [Scott # 1851]. Both stamps were engraved by Czeslaw Slania.

Princess Grace has been honored by numerous countries on stamps as both an actress and as royalty.
