:candycane: The Cheryl Ladd dress is exquisite. So completely beautifully botanical indeed! One of my favorites of the outfits in the movie. Cheryl Ladd did a wonderful job on representing Pss. Grace in the movie the clothes were mah-velous!:heartflower:

:candycane: Oh you know, you are so right Cheryl Ladd's outfit is 'different" from the gorgeous original Pss. Grace outfit but they are 'both' fab outfits in their own right. they looked gorgeous in them! we had the priviledge of seeing the Pss. Grace with the hat and honestly how anyone could say Pss. Grace didn't like the outfit. it's certainly hard to imagine because it's so lovely with the hat and setting wow!! The ceryl ladd outfit too was gorgeous! All the outfits in the movie were!:heartflower:

I agree with you Glisterning Seas.

Does anybody know more about the relashionship between Franco Family and Grimaldis?

I agree, shanaz! I believe that Yousuf Karsh took that amazing portrait. He did a whole series of Grace at the time of her engagement to Prince Rainier. Here are some other examples:

Wonderful picture! This has a Venetian look to it; does anyone know where and why this photograph was taken?

In one of my Jacqueline Kennedy books there is a photo of Princess Grace visiting John F. Kennedy in the hospital in the 1950's. Kennedy had back surgery and recovery was very long. Devoted Jackie had Princess Grace visited to help lift his spirit. There was a friendship between the couples nothing else. I believe Princess Grace father would have like a marriage
between a Kennedy and Kelly, but it ever happen because Grace met her Prince.:);):)
Apparently as a joke to bolster Jack's spirits and according to the Judy Balabine Quine book The Bridesmaids-Jackie had Grace initially come in in a nurse"s outfit when he was in hospital. They were great friends. That is enough & all.

She's the Hollywood star turned royal who inspired an Hermès handbag favoured by celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Now for the first time, Grace Kelly fans will have the chance to peek into the wardrobe of the world's most notorious style icon.
Dresses worn by the popular 50's actress will go on display at London's V&A museum in April, examining Kelly's timeless appeal and glamorous image.
Divided into three sections, the exhibition will highlight Kelly's

Inside the Monaco Palace, 1975 by N. Parker.
It´s the Grimaldi principal livingroom in the palace and that´s how it was decorated when Grace was alive.

Grace was very classy and conventional women, but she had got a very modern and vanguardist taste for the interior design. Perhaps now she could be fan of minimal style.

I dislike this decoration and I am not sure it was Grace who decorated it....:whistling:

yes Zubiaur, but you have to remember that it´s a house from the 70´s, a very different style from now.
Grace loved decoration and like "Grace Kelly: The Secret Lifes of a Princess by J. Spada" say, Princess Grace redecorated all the palace when she arrive Monaco. Her favourite store was Habitat (wich exists now).

Thanks for your pics!

:twohearts: Certainly the whole 70's looks never had appeal to me either even though we were in the midst of it all! Don't know why it just lacks a certain excitement that leaves a room as unexciting without remedy do you suppose?!

:twohearts: Although this room certainly is beautifully done the Georgian gilding is what saves this room! And, perhaps why the minimalist was chosen to counter balance the Georgian gilding but; oh-h-h those retro 70's lamps!

:twohearts: The beautiful lovely big windows and lighting make this room truly a striking room :heartflower:

I agree,it is beautiful and emotive.Thanks sensibility:flowers:

:twohearts: While Pss. Grace's dress on the hanger looked okay. The outfit really came to life when Pss. Grace had the outfit and the hat on in the background when they took the picture. It was fabulous it was a very lush garden setting and with the dress and hat it was wonderful.

:twohearts: Naturally Cheryl Ladd did a stunning job in the movie portrayal of Pss. Grace and the outfit too is my favorite. The studio did a wonderful job of providing the Clothes of the movie:heartflower:

i like it, but it isnt my favourite. She always was stunning but my favourite dress was the lace white dress and the white one from the "catch a thief".

Left to Right: Lizanne, Grace and Peggy Kelly during the Princess´s 40th birthday in Monaco.
Princess Grace wearing a beutiful hat during the early years of 60s.
Walking with a friend. Grace was around 48 years old.
Stunning like always. Grace in 1972.
One of the most beutiful portrait of Princess Grace. Monaco 1959.
