Red Cross Ball - August 5, 2011
**
This is the thread dedicated to the Red Cross Ball 2011.
It will take place on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 8.30 pm at the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club.
For the 63rd edition singer Joe Cocker has been asked to perform.
The artwork that is annually donated to the Monaco Red Cross is by Peter Wüthrich this year
and is entitled "Collection Mondo", Dame Shirley Bassey and Sandrine Quétier will present the tombola winnings.
The Salle des Etolies of the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club will be decorated like an extraordinary garden, a large number of flowers will turn "the room into a huge plant paradise".

I like Princess Caroline's gown better than Princess Charlene's tbh. The colour is interesting on PC but the cut is boring (mermaid style) and it did'nt do the necklace any justice imo.They all looked good and tanned from their holidays though.

I agree.
It's not a nice combination, fucsia with that necklace, but other than that she looks nice.

Like i said: the whole family reunited... 
As for the ladies outfits... dreadful!  The whole three of them.  Too flashy, little elegance and regalness. I would expect so much more from HSH P. Charlene in her first public big appearance as such.  As for P. Caroline, what was she thinking?  P. Stephanie, so pale and invisible constrasting with the other two women.  Oh P. Grace, how i miss your elegance and glamour!!!

Of the three ladies I like Stephs dress. Charlene's is a good color for her but I don't care for the dress itself. After the nice hair styles she has worn I am unhappy it isn't flattering.
This is the first ball in some time I haven't found photos of the tables before the event. Seated at the table

I think that Caroline's gown is awful. Better for a costume ball, not the biggest ball in Monaco's social schedule. It looks like a design by the African designer Duro Olowu. She wore one of his designs to the RCB 2010. I can't find a runway picture of the dress that Caroline is wearing tonight, but this picture is from his 2011 collection and looks quite similar to tonight's 2011 RCB gown.

I think Charlene looks fine apart from the hairstyle which I agree isn't flattering. I love the necklace but agree it isn't shown off well with the colour of this outfit. I really don't know what to make of Caroline's whole look - from what I can see the jewellery is pretty dire. I quite like Stephanie's gown but she needs some more impressive jewels. I wonder why Charlotte never attends?
