He looks happier in Newport than he looked at The Red Cross Ball and the events preceeding it. I hope he can stay a bit longer and continue to enjoy himself.

Perhaps he should marry an American and move here to retire.

Kimetha- I personally think he is rather good- looking , looking straight into his face and eyes. Those distance shots, from overhead, etc. and those khaiki pants-nada. Why can't he wear slimmer trousers and slimmer lines. He would look much younger. Its because of his loss of hair and maybe the pouch that put so many years on him.

They had a brief interview with PA on Good Morning America weekend edition this morning. Ron Claiborne went up to Newport this weekend. He of course asked him the marriage question. Albert said he had no plans-immediate or other wise- to marry. When Ron did a follow up question on the same subject, Albert quoted George HW Bush's famous "read my lips" then added "were you reading my lips" (referring to when he answered the question the first time). Of course they showed the hand holding pictures from the Red Cross ball. I think that sums up the CW becoming Princess question. He also said anytime a young woman is pictured with him these rumors start. Ron asked about announcing his kids existence and Albert answered that he felt it was the right time to be done. Ron also asked Albert what he wanted his legacy to be. Albert laughed that it was little too soon to discuss that. He was very polite and happy the whole interview. There was also a clip of him walking outside as if heading to one of the events. The blond from the jazz festival was walking next to him. She had either a clipboard or some papers with her leading me to think she may be an event staffer.

Too bad I'm a Today show gal. I didn't see the interview, but I heard about it. I didn't know Albert was so funny (the whole "read my lips" thing)!
To LadyMac: I wonder if he even has a home here, he probably does, I think he'd be happy retiring in the US. He looks quite relaxed in the pics, so hopefully he will marry an American and move across the pond.

Not sure if it is the same woman from the concert. In any case, the blond woman in the clip didn't have papers in her hand, but two (golf)hats and her bag

Does he ever date monaguesques? There must be some eligible women there. I would love to see him with someone from there.

I don't necessarily think that a man that has loss of hair and a pouch is unattractive. Sean Connery really stands out to me as a very attractive man. Patrick Stewart is also attractive. Both of these actors are somewhat pudgy around the midline and balding. Maybe I just haven't seen a real attractive photo of him. He does have a nice smile and may even have a great personality. But, if he wasn't a prince, we would definitely get lost in a crowd.

Thanks. A charming man and seemed very upfront with the questions that were asked.

Thanks for the link. I also missed the first run of this clip.
The first thing that comes to mind is we must remember the results of President George H.W. Bush's quote -- He ended up raising taxes!! Hummm.

Is anyone else having problems finding it to view?
I go to the abcnews page, click on the link and a video player pops up. But the interview with Albert isn't in any of the categories-only on the first page. Where do I get it?

Glad you guys got to see it!
I forgot to mention the AP says online that the young woman in the photo's name is Heather van Suidam. Never heard of her, but then again I don't run in those circles.
For those of you who may not have seen High Society, Celeste Holm (seen at the press conference with PA) is the only remaining member of the cast still alive (even though she is about 10 years older then Grace would have been today). She played the character opposite Frank Sinatra - the reporter (but I can't remember her name). She also sang on the soundtrack.

Grace's character's name was Tracy Lord.

I don't know a lot about Prince Albert, but other then wanting to be a Princess, why would anyone date or marry him. He isn't good looking at all, what is his personality like? Does anyone know?
Thanks

George actually said Read my lips-No NEW Taxes. There were no new taxes, he just raised the old ones.
Pinklady-Celeste Holm played photographer Elizabeth "Liz" Embrey.
