Ok, again we have discussed the Paris Match, cabbage rose dress that Grace wore for the photo shoot at the palace....here is a pic...

Okay, I know that we already declared this particular dress as hideous, but I must admit that only Grace could wear such an ugly thing and still look like a normal human being. A true testament to classic beauty.

P.S. Being that we are on the subject of this dress, did anyone ever hear in passing who designed it? I am just wondering as I am also wondering why they did that?

It is a fairly amazingly unattractive dress! And Jacqueline, you are absolutely on the money when you say that only a classic beauty like Grace could pull that thing off! She manages to make it look somewhat attractive!
I have no idea who created the "dress"...Cassini couldn't be guilty of something that horrid, you think????

Oh goodness, I hope not. That seems so out of character for him. Maybe Brandy will know. :)

I have no idea who made the dress. Cassini never made anything ugly.........he would have told Grace not to wear that.

Wow, I guess I'm alone here, but I don't think the dress is so bad. Would it have been my first choice for meeting a prince? Probably not, but still it's ok. She had the right figure for it. I have sort of a love of things from the 50s. "Grease" is my all time favorite film.

I think the style of the dress is nice, the cut is very classic for its time.
I think for me, the fabric is what kills it. That fabric just says "Grandma's curtains" to me.
But leave it to Grace to still look amazing in it.

I agree Kelly. The cut isn't bad at all...it's a very typical tea dress. The print is HUGE and looks like a bedspread, but Grace pulls it off!

Hey Javqueline,

How are you? Thank you so much for the gorgeous pictures of Princess Grace. She is absolutely lovely and yes, I second to the red dress and really suits her too. Simply very elegant.

Have fun and take care.

Hey everyone,

How are you all? I have always loved Princess Grace's evening dresses as it has always been elegant, colorful and compliments her figure very well. Simply perfect!!!

I really don't think the dress is all that bad. The fabric is loud. But back then it would have been ok. What color was it does anyone know?
