I guess pics are more about the person posting them than Grace herself and commentaries are not genuine. Otherwise the tributes would be pouring in and down.
I surmise the times have changed or people are complacent. May Princess Grace Rest In Peace.

Well, there were all these events commemorating the annivesary, so I think that on this day family wanted to keep it private, and I think they were right to do so! JMO
And about how Princess Grace's death efected me: I can't really say because I was born three years later, but even so her life and personality impress me much more than anyone else's before or after her!
So, rest in peace Princess Grace

I didn't necessarily mean for the family to attend but so the citizens of Monaco could pay their respects. A short service and lighting of candles would have been nice. I think the citizens of Monaco also felt the loss today but there was no service for them.

Even though today is a sad day and an important anniversary, I think it is a day to celebrate the life and legacy of Princess Grace/Grace Kelly.
Rest In Peace Princess Grace.

On the 25th anniversary of Princess Grace's passing, Monaco Revue presents an appreciation by editor Celia Sankar, who is the founder of the , which promotes equal opportunity employment in Canada and abroad.
Once upon a time, I was enarmoured of fairytales. However, “The Princess and the Pea” spoiled it for me. That was the story in which a young prince decries all prospective brides, then throws himself at the feet of the first lady who passes the indisputable test of a real princess: she detects a pea hidden under several layers of mattresses.

Some pictures:
Visitors look at the grave of Princess Grace of Monaco, inside the cathedral of Monaco, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of her death, Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007. While driving with her daughter Stephanie to Monaco on Sept. 13, 1982, from their country home, Princess Grace, then 52, suffered a stroke, causing her car to plunge down the mountainside. Princess Grace died the next day without regaining consciousness.

Having read through the exhibition catalog by Frederic Mitterrand, which is excellent and well worth buying I might add. I thought it would be nice to hear a few words from Princess Grace herself:
" I would like to be remembered as someone who accomplished useful deeds, and who was a kind and loving person. I would like to leave the memory of a human being with a correct attitude and who did her best to help others."
"My father had a very simple view of life: you don't get anything for nothing. Everything has to be earned, through work, persistence and honesty. My father also had a deep charm, the gift of winning our trust. He was the kind of man with whom many people dream of spending an evening."
"It would be very sad if children had no memories before those of school. What they need most is the love and attention of their mother."
"Fairy tales tell imaginary stories. Me, I'm a living person. I exist. If the story of my life as a real woman were to be told one day, people would at last discover the real being that I am."
May she rest in peace!
