On Tuesday Iīve watched a documentary called the "prince of Monaco" and there I saw (Iīve seen it before, but on Tuesday again) that the coffin of Grace was open (with open cover) laid out. What was the reason for that? I canīt remeber that any other royal or noble was laid out this way in the last 50 years.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that she was with Princess Grace when the accident happen so probably she was still at the hospital or getting better at home.

Yes, she was with her mother in the car and had severe injuries. I wonder if it would have been possible to wait until Stephanie had recovered. But likely the law doesnīt allow to wait with burials that long (you could just wait with a cremation). But it must be horrible for Stephanie, that she couldnīt participate in the funeral of her mother.

That was a very sad and shocking moment not only to The Monaco Royal Family but to the world. Princess Grace was and still is loved very much by her family and her loyal fans no one thought that something that horrible would happened to Princess Grace begin that she was young , talented, beautiful , elegant, kind , and also a loving mother and a devoted wife. A wonderful life ending in such tradegy.

I learned Grace's injuries were so severe she would never wake from her coma, so Rainier, Caroline and Albert decided to "pull the plug".

That if Grace had been taken to a hospital right when she had the stroke and/or aneurysm, she might have lived but the car crash and treatment delay (they were almost invisible off that road even in a car) made her death so "inevitable" there was no choice as Grace would never have woken up.

I think they made the right choice (having gone through that with a grandparent myself) but its still wrenching.

Default Princess Grace's funeral

In some of the pics of Princess Grace's funeral..you can see two of her sisters (I believe Lizanne and Margaret) and the head of her brother Jack and two women. Who is he escorting? Does anyone have any additional pics of Jack?

Libra65...thanks! Its hard to tell in certain pics....via the angles...it looks like they are in the row behind Jack, which I thought was slightly weird.

Does anyone know who attended the funeral of Princess Ghislaine? I'm pretty sure that no European royalty besides the Monegasque family attended. Just want to know who from Monaco went...Thanks

I didn't know Rainier planned his own funeral. Well, that would explain the presence of his dog in it.

I wonder, with whom the Casiraghi trio have stayed with while his mother and family were in their father's funeral.
