I apologize for the pretty atrocious quality of my scans.

Does anyone have the pictures of when Caroline attended around 2000, 2001, wearing a short skirt and leather jacket ?

I like the way this event brought out the best in everyone, everybody sharing a spontaneous good time. Some of the best expressions are to be found at this event. I also like how it brought out the inner circus child in Caroline, who really let loose with her Russian dancing and fantasy costumes.

On videos, I like how each member so graciously hands out the awards and obviously finds the right words to thank the performers.

It's also nice to have such a family-oriented event: the Grimaldis love the principality's little children, as you can also see from the gift-giving ceremony at the palace just before Christmas. (How about a thread about that event ?)

I do not think tht it is on 1990, it should be later, after Stefano's death. Charlotte seems oldel than just 4 and Caroline has half long hair, after than she cut them, during Stefano's period she had them longer.
I think it should be around 92-93

Thanks, monaco70s. It's interesting how both Caroline and Stephanie get into the spirit of things, in a different way. I think the Bal de la Rose, organized by Princess Caroline, sometimes reflects that spirit: exoticism, fantasy land, costumes, lots of colors and glitter, building an atmosphere that's the opposite of stuffy. She made it cool to like the circus. No wonder her kids like to attend (that ball). I guess they were never extraverted enough when they were the age she was when Rainier founded the festival to be the life of the party, the way Caroline obviously was, and now they are a little too old for those kinds of antics. I guess it was a great outlet for her, and I am sure she liked to honor her father with that show of enthusiasm.

I discovered that there is actually a thread on Christmas at the Palace, I'll have to look and see if I have anything new to offer.
I'll look again for the one of 2000 or 2001. Otherwise, I think I have the clippings, I'll have to find them.

from 2001, are these the ones you were thinking about as well,
the skirt and the leather jacket? Strangely I did not find them
in this thread yet.

Thank you, iceflower : these are the pictures I had in mind. I remember reading that it was an unusual outfit for P. Caroline to wear, it being a "street outfit" which she had been wearing several times, one time shopping in antique stores in Paris with Ernst. I liked the outfit though. I also remember the occasion, because I thought it was sad that there was no interaction (at least from the pictures published) between the 2 sisters, each holding their little daughters about the same age.

Thank you, lckc571, for overlooking the quality of the scans. I guess some clippings are so old, they have faded, and maybe my scanner is not the best either. Anyway, thanks !
