I have a question does anyone know the reason she ended up having a C-section? I haven't read anything about it before.

The umbilical cord was around Louis' body so he couldn't come out in the normal way.

Thanks for the fast response wonder why she didn't have the other two naturally because she could have unless something was wrong.

A lot of times, many women elect to have repeat C-sections because it's much safer if they've already had one. In fact, if they have their children fairly close in age (There is only about a year and a half between Louis and Pauline) some doctors refuse to to allow their patients to have the baby naturally. Now, this is in the US, so I don't know about policies in other places, but it's a possibility.

I know this because a good friend of mine just had a baby and had to have a repeat c-section.

I had a C-section and I was told no problem is why I questioned it and I wasn't in Stephanie's physical condition. I also know woman who did have natural afterwards and I would have as well.

Did Stephanie smoke through hers as well?

It was reported that while she smoked in Hollywood, Grace quit (whether at Rainier's insistence is disputed) before she married until well after Stephanie was born.

Stephanie didn't smoke during her pregancies. She didn't smoke at all when she was with Daniel.

About the pic of Steph pregnant with Camille. It was taken at some event at Monte Carlo Country Club in early June 1998

Obviously Caroline never stopped, but when did Stephanie start again?

For that matter, when did they start? And has Albert (OT I know but relevant) ever smoked--including pipes or cigars?

Stephanie started again after the very hurful end of her relationship with Daniel - or better because of the pain.
